Special Notes

Uzalo became the second show in SA history to reach 8-million viewers on Monday, 24 August when it hit 8,032,000 viewers. Generations reached these numbers before the actor strike fiasco in 2014.

Notice how Coke Studio bombed on e.tv on Monday 24 August with 296,000 viewers. It was sandwiched between Gold Diggers (1,580,000) and Umlilo (1,383,000), meaning e.tv's audience departed wholesale after Gold Diggers and returned with almost the same amount who left for Umlilo. Now that's a Coke bomb!

I like the competition between uzalo and generations, I think by march next year they might reach 10 million views.with all the competition that etv is bringing against generation it is still doing very well. Against all odds!

competition is too high bigup to local production. ..generations will take nmber one spot with karishma and jack mabaso coming back...uzalo need to up their game cz these past two months its a bit boring bt they dnt hv competion at dt time slot

Mamello is getting better and Skeem Saam with a 6 Mil viewership at 6:30 timeslot, isn't that historic?

I am glad generations and uzalo both remains in the 7million mark for two weeks in a row .that is remarkable for the sabc .mamello Is growing very strong I like I like .sabc 2 must wake up and produce more sotho/tswana dramas for 21:30 timeslot .I telenovella won't hurt in that timslot

Motswako reaches 1 million viewers that's remarkable .I wonder how much gold diggers averaged cz it falls off the top ten on E .

Yhoo shame Gold diggers fell off the wagon during this week! Uzalo is seeming to be strenghtning in the lead, the lead was almost insignificant in the beggining. Same as RC slowly catching up with Scandal.

Skeem saam also doing well besides people's complaints.

Isidingo shem :( *moment of silence. SABC needs to move Isidingo to the 6 pm slot maybe it will perform better, they cant watch a local production suffer like this and they claim they support local over international.

Im waiting to see how The Road will do.

I concur 6 pm is a suitable slot for Isidingo like in the good old days.

Generations is the best for me considering the competition it has from etv intriguing soaps.Well the same cannot be said for Uzalo which does not have much competition at 20:30pm slot.Well done to the Generation team.

Good tv programs.,its remarkable that under all that critisizim on gen its is doing well, what i have discover is that uzalo steals gen viewers,if it was not screening after gen it wouldnt reach this high, what happened to isibaya?

Balboa
10 Sep 2015 17:02

This shows that gen is the most grossing tv program in sabc as it airs for 5 days and still have that marvellous average

Shuga had to move to the SABC to get any kind of viewership......on Etv we hardly noticed it cos it was competing with Uzalo. Gold Diggers doing better than i thought.
