Lisa, Lisa, Lisa!

I was a mess through the first part of Monday's Survivor because of her. The child star testimonial she had with Jonathan was so unbelievably emo. I watched it through a haze of tears. I've always known there's a lot that sucks about being a child star but hearing it like that and seeing the direct impact on her was intense.

I was particularly moved by what she said about being a people-pleaser - I can relate 'cos I've struggled with it too. It's such a burden to carry when you aren't a child star so I can only imagine how hectic it is when you are!

I was very pleased Jonathan asked her about it and remained on his side 100% as a result - even during their second convo. when he sat playing with the water while desperately trying to save himself.

I liked that he was so honest in telling us what he was doing so I didn't feel he was manipulating her - especially because I agreed with him - I'm desperate to see the story he outlined of her turning on the Spawn of Satan.

Which she didn't. I was very disappointed when I saw her Tribal Council vote because I felt she didn't stand up for herself - that she'd buckled to people-pleasing again but then, after thinking about it a bit, I realised she's definitely what she says she is: loyal. How can it be a bad thing in a world so crammed with the opposite??

It all comes down to why she stuck with Tandang. If it was to Please, then it sucks - if it was out of loyalty, I accept it.

Only for now though. She HAS TO to ditch them next week because Pete and Abi get more despicable with every breath!!

Wow Tashi - you write your review real quick! I read this last night around 10 but am only replay now. Yes I could feel those circles going around Lisa's head last night - One could argue that Penner was also trying to play Lisa's strings - but obviously in a very charming way (unlike Po-Face Abi). I guess she decided to stick by her decision last week to be Tandang strong. Oh well. I hope it doesn;t backfire on her. I still really like her ( and Malcolm ) the most.

Lisa has so much potential, its a pity she is all about loyalty to people who dnt respect her

i just read something interesting on survivorsucks. its clled the "fly theory"
Read on

What is the "fly theory"? SM claimed way back on the original ASS that the fly represented "death/disaster" and getting hit by one was significant enough to eliminate a player from contention. Mariano Man picked up on this theory last season and disproved Panurge's storyline thread by using the "fly theory" to eliminate Cochran. When Edgic had reduced the prospective winner field down to 2 players (Sophie/Coach) MM used the fly theory to correctly pick Sophie as the winner, because the fly had hit and thus eliminated Coach (as well as Ozzy, Cochran, Rick and Brandon). The fly has hit a handful of players over the years and none have ever gone on to win the game. *ONLY exception to this rule is Ethan Zohn, however, this happened on S3 and the official "fly theory" did not begin until it hit Rob Mariano on ASS. Since then, it has been used as a kiss of death and in recent seasons has been taking out victims in much larger numbers. By now the fly is a successful Survivor serial killer and we must be on the look out for new victims. S24 had its first last week - RIP Kat Edorrsen. Who's Next??

Very true SurvAddict - that's what really bothered me about it all - Abi was awful, awful, awful to her. you've hit the nail on the head - so disrepectful.
