M-Net appoints independent investigator into Big Brother Mzansi incident

Today, M-Net enlisted the services of law firm, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr to independently investigate the processes surrounding the recent incident in the Big Brother house.

According to CEO: South Africa Yolisa Phahle, M-Net takes these matters seriously, and the wellbeing of contestants is of the utmost importance. “It is necessary for M-Net to understand what transpired and we will take necessary action, if required, once the investigation is concluded,” says Phahle.

Endemol Shine Africa, the production company responsible for Big Brother, has offered their full coorporation with the investigation.

The launch of an independent investigation comes after the suspicion of possible sexual misconduct involving two contestants, Adams and Bexx, where both individuals were removed from the Big Brother house on Monday evening.

I know the same scenario happened in Big Brother Brazil sometime ago. I don't know what happened to the accused party afterwards. You us - if something takes too long, we lose interest.

I'm not sure why it's a law firm investigating instead of the police... I'm thinking they'd only investigate if Bexx pressed charges.

Its not Bexx only all the hmates are judging Ace because of his backround which is not acceptable, especially those evil Gals Mbali and Chelsy there way they undermine Ntobi wa batho and Ntombi love them and even told them that they r beautiful but they jst like thank you in passing mxm sis .....

MNET treats this with the seriousness it deserves. Rape cannot be condoned under any circumstances. Let's assume it is found Adam raped this woman, will the show/channel press charges of rape? Shouldn't the woman be the one to decide if she was raped or not. This who sex scandal makes it confusing! Rape scandal rocks Biggie's House!
