They're back! New and improved! Today we're pleased to present TVSA's new TAMS coverage which includes, for the first time ever, Mzansi Magic's viewership.

Mzansi Magic has officially overtaken M-Net as the most consistently popular channel on DStv which means that Nielsen and the Broadcast Research Council are now including it in their weekly viewership updates.

Only the channels with the biggest audience share are included in these weekly updates so the introduction of Mzansi Magic is an extremely notable development. You'll see that the channel's impact is revealed the numbers.

And now, without further adieu, these are the ratings for 23 February - 1 March, 2015:

I guess Generations will forever be the most watched TV show in SA

Yesterday, tvplus revealed week 10 and Generations moved to 6. 3 million. It is wounded but still resilient. Tempy Pushas are still at it. Muvhango has improved. It is going to be tough for all primetime shows this coming month. The script writing teams are in a constant battle.

Damn shocking how the eTV shows have dropped. Esp RC,hope it does good on the new timeslot. Even their news was strugling. That 8:30pm slot won't help either, there is Uzalo and Isibaya. Also excited on the next one. New shows and all

I have a daunting feeling that RC might suffer the same fate as Backstage. It is bad enough that its founding principal cast is living the show. The likes of Miles, Lucilla are following Tshidi, Stone, Thula just after the recent departure of Gail. Now we are seeing the influx of new characters but the storyline remains lacklustre and dull. If David Genaro leaves, then that would be a knockout punch. I just feel like he has out-grown Rhythm City and Generations- Legacy is the perfect place for him and a much needed boost for the revamped show. Thats just my wish.

I feel nothing can save rhythm city now .they completely lost the plot .this new characters are just not fitting in .their sets are old .they keep taking rejected actors from the sabc hai .wat a sad story for a once great soapie.
