Is Tebogo Mukwevho the new Cherel?

When Cherel left Isidingo, I was devastated, almost as devastated as when Kgomotso left Muvhango. Then in 2012 Duma Ndlovu hosted auditions for a Sotho girl, she would be Ranthumeng’s baby mama and a maid to Thandaza. I, like many of you, thought this woman would be temporary because she attempted to murder Thandaza out of spite and jealousy. Thandaza regained her memory but her accusations didn’t make a difference because three years later, our sweet villain is still standing.

She managed to steal Thandaza’s previous last name and joined the clan in Thate, where she wasn’t easily welcomed and gave it as much as she got it. The only friend she has is Vho-suzan who shares her battles as an outside. Besides all the rumours her husband heard, they didn’t make a difference to how much he hearts her.

The difference between Cherel and Tebogo is, she isn’t always vile, only when provoked or she doesn’t get her way. Oh, who am I kidding they are all the same. Ok, the difference is that Tebogo has the sweetest face on earth, and usually our villains go all out with make-up and weaves.

Tebogo is convincing because she looks down to earth with zero to less make up and her natural hair. We don’t expect her to be a villain, that’s why when she fake smiles etc, we are outraged and shocked, but love it. And she speaks Sotho amongst Vendas, so a lot of things work in her favour unlike our previous villains. We love to hate her as KK, Gita, Barker, David, Khomotso, Thembeka, Vele and Cherel.

So, if they could just bring Vele back because I’m certain Tebogo gets bored with Suzan who doesn’t share her vile sentiments.

Both Cherel and Thembeka ooze sex appeal, which Tebogo lacks. When she is cornered, she resorts to the trusty old tears and woe is me, nobody loves. So, No she is not the new Cherel, she can never be the new Cherel, Cherel is in a class of her own, with Thembeka a close second. I am still trying to figure out why everyone seems to have forgiven her.

I totally agree with you about Thembeka, because she's one of my favourite villains, I actually feel like, i shud've asked "Is Thembeka the new Cherel?" But Tebogo has something unique because she's not in the same league as Cherel or Thembeka but she gets away with alot. They forgave her because of the baby.

Another thing that makes me not be a fan of the character is the actress who portrays her, her acting needs a bit of pilish, the directors are not doing anything to help the situation. Her fake crying is just that, fake. I just feel everyone just forgives her because it is in the storyline to forgive her, not because she has convinced them that she deserves their forgiveness. There is a lady who is imbroiled with Ndalamo and Thuli, her name escapes me, now that woman has all the making of a great villain.

Her name is Matshidiso. But the best thing about being a villain is being fake, have u seen Gaddafi's fake laugh/smile. Its almost creepy and weird but he gets away with it because he's a villain. Not everybody can cry like Brooke Forrester, lol. Matshidiso is fantastic too but she's not as great as Thembeka Shezi, maybe just like Tebogo.

I absolutely love Teboho, there is something very real about her, her story and how she does things. She is a different type of villian, a breath of fresh air. It might not be the Cherel or Tembeka way (mostly because of the character backround and current script) but for me she tells a story of a devious rural girl who would stop at nothing to get where she wants. I dont think she as the character would be able to handle the Cherel and Tembeka type of sophisication, lol in Thathe that is. I do agree though that the script mostly works in her favor but i belive she could deliver if she was given something better. Mtashidiso on the other hand got that sex appeal but her acting and constant blinking is just not convicing for me. Maybe im still stuck on the the fired Generations 16 but Gaddafi as a villian doesnt move me at all, I'm conscious that he is acting. Smanga could also make a good mini villian.

Yhooooo, don't get me started about Smanga, can somebody please say "OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND STOP GRITTING YOUR TEETH!. The guy just irritates the brown bread out of me. I think he is better suited to those Ekasi: Our Stories kind of acting.

As for Gaddafi, the less I say the better. Or maybe I hate, no i DETEST abuse in any form.

Now back to Tebogo, let me think I'll get back to you guys.

Am not sure whether to say fortunately or unfortunately, I do not watch Generation legacy or otherwise. So, am really not familiar with Gaddafi. Ladies are work with are into his looks. You are on to something there Ms Opinionated, most actors and actresses are let down by the scripts. I usually watch Muvhango with the mute button on cos I just can't take it. Don't get me started on Mukondeleli and her husband. Haven't noticed the constant blinking from Matshidiso. I like Teboho's Sotho delivery, other than that meh!

@Magical Baby lol and thats exactly what would make Smanga a good villian, he isnt likeable anyway....without even doing much hahahhaha. Must as well, even if he could be good, people generally dont like him,

@Ingenuity I watch Gen but I also dont know what to say about it. On the one hand I think they are getting there gradually (The Morokas) but on the other....I feel like there are some characters (Comso and family) who make it look really bad. Kwaaaa is Kondi still  married even? I have not  seen her hubby in a long time. Muvhango goes for pretty girls now, they dont really hire on the best acting skills.

I wonder how they will be re-generating the 8 o'clock slot, I know there's a drama series called Umlilo coming up which starts Nokthula Ledwaba and that lady from Isibaya, but I thought that would only air for 3 nights a week. We'll have to wait and see. If all else fails, I will watch Pinky and the Brain on my laptop.

Good train of thought you have going here SoapiePolice. I like your perspective. I just wanna say Teboho cannot be bored with Vho-Susan because she still need a confidante and someone who believes in her innocence when she convinces herself she is innocent. I don't think she and Vele will get along along because they all care about their own ends. But then again, birds of a feather flock together

@MSOpinionated, you don't love Teboho, you love to hate her

Ms Opinionated
29 Jan 2015 08:39

@Makiso lol true, but Vele and Teboho can never be good for each other. They can only use each other, at the end of the day Vele will always see herself as more superior and Tebeho being the outsider. Which is what will always bring Susan and Teboho together, of course Teboho could betray Susan....I would not put it pass her.

@Ingenuity if anyone wants to re-generate this is the perfect time, even the loyal gogos and mkhulus are not understanding this Generations the Legacy situation.

Another potential that I forgot to bring up is Dintle. She is one devious little lady.
