X Factor SA gets companion show on SABC3

The X Factor SA's getting a companion show starting this week. Not on SABC1 but on SABC3. The X Factor SA airs on SABC1 on Saturdays at 18h00 and The Xtra Factor starts on SABC3 this Friday (24 October) at 20h00. It's premiere coincides with the start of the gala shows on the Saturday weekly show.

The UK version of The X Factor also has an Xtra Factor and ours follows the same format - with one annoying difference. The UK one happens immediately after the weekly episode whereas ours only airs a week later - which is too late!

The show gives a behind-the-scenes look at the week's episode and performances - specifically the contestants' responses to the judges' comments they receive after their performances. It also includes opinion and chatter.

It'll be airing on SABC3 from 20h00 to 20h30 weekly until The X Factor SA finale on Saturday, 13 December.

That is a good move! Still upset about some of the choices the judges made though. Why won't there be wildcards!?

@Darren, I couldn't agree with you more, I especially found that Sonke made a couple of errors with her choices.
