It is seems like its now becoming a norm to see
Generations actors leave these days. They leave one by one following each other. Viewers are happy to see other actors leave and they are sad to see others leave. It gets more shocking when actors who’ve been with the soapie for too long leave.
Here are Generations actors who have left the soapie recently and those who are soon going to disappear on our screens.
Kagiso Rakosa (Sharon) is also leaving the soapie. They didn’t renew her contract. So her character was written off. Let’s hope it won’t be the last time we see her on our screens. She is still young there’s a lot she can do in the acting industry.
It might be a blessing indisguise having to leave the soapie early in her career as soapie actors get to be seen as like they won’t be able to act another character once they’ve played the soapie character for too long.
We know soapies give actors a stable salary but I think she must also try dramas maybe, Zone14. I think she can be good there.
Thabiso Mokheti (Sam) is also leaving with Kagiso. They acted as a young married couple on Generations. They are both written off by Generations writers. I guess they couldn’t develop their story line, and honestly it was boring shem. So I’m not really sad.
Dumisani Mbebe seems like he has left the soapie already after I have seen this week that Dumisani the character has resigned at Ezweni and disappeared with no one knowing where he is.
Some people believe that this guy is a bad actor but I think he is good. It’s just that his character was boring.
Apparently he got fired because he would pitch up late for shoots and smelling of alcohol. Some actors were complaining and all.
Well we leant earlier this year that
Seputla Sebogodi is leaving Generations after many rumours last year about him leaving the soapie. He brushed out all those rumours last year saying he is not leaving Generations.
But he finally announced it sometime in March or April that he is leaving Generations. He has lost a lot of weight too and its getting worse everyday. His suits on Generations are getting bigger and bigger everyday.
I think Generations wardrobe should order him a smaller size than the one they used to order for him.
We wish Seputla all the best for his future endeavors, like his Gospel singing career O_o. We’ll def miss Kenneth on our screens.
Late last year
Connie Ferguson left Generations, which was a big thing in South Africa more close to Oprah’s retiring. She joined a new soapie called The Wild.
Not so long ago it was reported that she was seen having talks with Generations creator, Mfundi Vundla and visited Generations set saying she’s coming back to the soapie.
Well we still don’t know if the rumour is true time will tell.
Sipho Ngwenya also left Generations after he played the character of Ajax for about 5 years. Ajax became one of those boring characters shem as time went on. I guess Sipho also got bored playing Ajax and decided to quit.
Sipho is a good actor must say. I think now he is more busy with music. Well we wish him all the best in that.
Delisile Malinga (Sara) also left Generation after it was said that Generations people realized that she can’t act and she had some diva tendencies. So they got rid of her.
But she recently made a lil appearance coming from KZN to fight for her man Khaphela. We don’t know if we will continue seeing her.
Siyabonga Twala also left Generations. They killed his character, Paul. Well I won't say meaning there’s no chance of seeing him come back because we saw Tau rising from the dead.
So lemme rather say he might come back, as Generations is our Days of Our Lives.
