M-Net has put in a second season order of MasterChef SA and the search for a new serving of amateur chefs begins at the end of October.
As you probably know, the first season aired on M-Net earlier this year and was won by 45-year-old IT specialist
Deena Naidoo.
The auditions coincide with the relaunch of the Mondo Vino restaurant at Monte Casino, which Deena will be running as part of his prize. He's changed the name of the restaurant to Aarya - his daughter's name - and the relaunch takes place in early November.
While that happens, auditions start in Jozi and wrap in Cape Town on 10 November.
The audition dates and venues are as follows:
• Johannesburg: Saturday, 27 October at Montecasino, located in Fourways;
• Durban: Sunday, 04 November at Suncoast;
• Cape Town: Saturday, 10 November at Southern Sun Cullinan.
The audition criteria are the same are same as they were last season: auditionees must prepare a cold dish for the judges to taste. You need to fill in a recipe card with the recipe and take it with to the auditions.
