3rd Degree is looking to hire a Junior Producer to work on the show in Johannesburg.
Reporting to the Executive Producer your key performance areas will include:
- Research and develop current affairs story ideas and investigate them
- Script and supervise the filming and editing of half-hour inserts
- Develop excellent news contacts and sources
- Attend and participate actively in regular production and editorial meetings
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience as a journalist and some broadcast experience (either in radio or television)
- A thorough understanding of South Africa's social, political and economic situation
- A thorough understanding of international politics and current affairs
- Able to take initiative
- Capable of working independently
- Be well-read and have a good general knowledge
- Able to work well in a team
Note:The successful candidate will be required to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays.
