TVSA can confirm that evangelist, businesswoman and presenter Zanele Mbokazi will be hosting a new talk show on SABC1 called Khwezela/Rekindle with Zanele Mbokazi.

The series premieres on Sunday, 10 June at 17h30 and covers relationships from a Christian perspective.

First look at the set.

Zanele, who's best known for creating the annual Crown Gospel Music Awards, has been running Khwezela relationship seminars since 2008 and sees the series as an extension of the workshops to reach a wider audience.

"The divorce rate is alarming," she says. "When I went through my divorce, I realised so much that I could have done differently if I had been better equipped. Therefore I promised myself that I would  push to assist single's to understand themselves and the institution of marriage before they make their vows.

"Though I know no-one has a perfect formula for a successful divorce-proof marriage, it is important to emphasise that the show will use God and His Word as the ultimate compass and guide on all relationship issues.”

In addition to her seminars Zanele recently released a book titled Before The Vows which she co-wrote with her second husband Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, who she married in August last year.

Zanele started her broadcasting career in radio, hosting popular gospel and talk shows on Ukhozi FM in the mid-1990's. She made her TV debut in the late 1990's as a news and current affairs presenter for SABC1 and went on to host Gospel Gold until 2007 when she moved into producing the show instead.

She guest judged on the first season of I Want To Sing Gospel and in 2010 she hosted the first season of the ONE Gospel reality competition Shine.

She's also been at centre of various controversies including a court battle with The Sunday World, a beef with evangelist Pastor Dube, rumours of an affair two years ago and a blackmail plot by two policemen who we arrested earlier this year.

Her wedding to Bishop Nkambule aired on Top Billing last year and she retained her surname after they tied the knot. Zanele hasn't changed her name to Mbokazi-Nkambule but remains Mbokazi.

She used to have a show on Soweto tv, can't remember the name cause I stumbled upon it while channel surfing. On that day they were talking about gays and lesbians, and what God says regarding that.

She had two pastors and a psychologist as panelists. One of the guys that was on the show was the Durban socialite Tha Simelane....and they were going on and on about how being gay or lesbo is all in the mind. At the end of the show, the pastors prayed for Tha to be straight and take out the spirit of being gay....tjo! I've never seen such.....and Tha is still gay by the way

Khwezela show is the best show in SABC1, I've watched the first show yesterday, the only problem is that the time is too short if you can increase the time to an hour at least this will really help people spiritual and motionally.  Zanele cc you are really a blessing from by God.  You are indeed an intelligent and hardworking women i ever see. I love you so much, keep it up the good work and good heart.

I missed the first show but i am def gonna watch the next one. Mina i am gonna watch and learn where i can, i think i don't loose or gain from her being a fake or not, i will only gain from what comes out of her mouth. I like her and so far izinto eziphuma emlonyeni wakhe ziyangakha, that is what important- ukwakheka. As for the people who don't like her, we are all entitled to different opinions, this is a free country but we all have dreams, abanye abantu bazibukela phansi bangazami ukuwaphila amaphupho abo, abanye bayazama and kwenzeke. If engenzeki, awenzekanga kodwa u tried- it is better than not trying.
