The J&B MET was won by leggy Igugu on Saturday but who
really won the scene?
The theme for the day was "Made Different" ... who splashed the best outfits and who needed a fash. thrash for their crimes?
Without further adieu, these are the winners of the TVSA 2012 MET Awards:
Limelight Trophy
This goes to the couple who won the Best Dressed Couple competition: Celeste Steyn and Daniel Malan.
The Best Dressed Couple competition's always the most important win of the day - much more so than the actual horse. The horse is just the excuse for the competition so it's only fair that they win the category.
Best Dressed Gal
The Twinz in combo. Their jumpsuits are the bomb and, as you'll see from everyone else, they're the only chicks who wore pants - which makes them perfect for the theme too.
The only dodgy aspect of their look are those chains - they aren't S&M enough to be properly S&M and even if they were, they'd be dated. They should have replaced them with something else or ditched the suit-detail completely.
Best "Do"
Fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee scoops this for the twirl. Try working out how it's created and you'll see it can keep you mesmerised for ages. Also, I prefer the blonde and pink blend he has to the blue he wore for Miss SA.
Most Cringeworthy
This goes to Cindy Nel and her husband Clive Roberts for her oddball ice skating dress and his retro tie that completely misinterpret the theme. Instead of being "Made Different" the impact they make = "Made For The Wrong Event."
Worst dressed
AKA for his trousers. No explanation needed. Pictured here with Tsholofelo Mokgakala.
Best Dressed Dude
Zolisa Xaluva: for both his very different suit and the way he wears it. He could be a schmodel don't you think? Pictured with him: Generations' Thato Molamu.
Hottest Dude
Idols' Mark Haze because he must have been
boiling. It was well over 30 degrees and he was wearing a gazillion layers. Pictured with him: his wife Shelley and Jo-Ann Strauss who wins ...
Best Shoes
With comedian Trevor Gumbi. Speaking of Gumbles ... he's debuting his first one man show soon. It's titled Nearly Done and it's going to be on at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in March. It's going to be filmed for a special on Mzansi Magic too.
Most Sunny
For their smiles, gal pal hug and perfectly matching orange: Miss SA Melinda Bam and Channel O presenter Dineo Moeketsi.
Least Different
A black dress with a bit of silver for a "Different" theme. Really? Zizo Beda's stylist obviously threw this together in two minutes. Stoan's pants are more thematic.
Most Dramatic
Katlego Danke's hat and Winnie Ntshaba's whole look.
Most Avian
Jen Su's bird number.
Most Tweeted
From Saturday's tweets I'd say that Bonang Matheba's outfit was def the most tweeted. Did you think so too? Pictured with her: YFM's marketing manager Tamaria Motsepe.
Most Angry
Someone obviously rubbed Chomee up the wrong way. With her: DJ Specular. Was he the guilty party or someone else?
Bold and the Beautiful special mention
Thembi Seete with Generations' Zenande Mfenyana.
Least Eligible
Michael Mol. Him and his wife Jaqcui are
always together and seem very tight.
Closest Nip Slip
Roxy Louw who always seems to place huge amounts of trust in whatever sticky fabric she uses for her cleavage.
