Episode 997Suffocate and Puleng continue to clash in their emotional response to the trauma.
Toolkit confronts Thula with his suspicions and accuses him of knowing more than he lets on. Thula panics and fingers the local delivery man.
Niki and S'bu are finding it difficult to adjust to being brother and sister after the intimacy they shared.
Puleng and Thula find solace in a bottle of brandy and end up sharing more than emotional talk.

Episode 998
David pins Lucilla down to testifying on his behalf. Nikki meets with Bash, who's intent on finding out how they can squeeze more money from the Vilakazi sponge.
Toolkit finds out that Rhudzani has left town. Puleng confides in Tshidi and later tells Thula they must keep their secret. Tessa makes a complete balls-up of her first encounter with the mike and Gail has to rescue the situation.
Later David bawls her out for giving an incompetent the chance to wreck 9-Nine's reputation.

Episode 999David spills the beans to Fats about S'bu and Niki. Niki blackmails Lucilla and tries to make S'bu feel better about what happened. Bash is getting nasty.
Pitso makes a surprise appearance at the radio station, wanting his job back.
Rudzani is released from police custody, and the furious locals prepare to unleash the whirlwind.

Episode 1000Lucilla steals a knot of hair from Niki's hairbrush with the intention of sending it in for DNA testing and she also tries to confirm if she has enrolled at the drama school.
The community is angry that Rudzani has been released and tensions break out when he walks into Kilowatt. The mob attacks him. Witnessing this, Thula jumps to his rescue and confesses to being the killer.

Episode 1001
Nikki is forced to confess that she made up the drama school story and Miles is faced with a difficult decision. Lucilla firmly believes that she has finally caught her out.
Thula tells the crowd that he is the one responsible for Matric's death. The crowd transfers their anger from Rudzani to Thula and attack him.
S'bu finds out that Thula has confessed and has to pretend that he has no knowledge about it.
Miles calls Lucilla and Nikki together and tells them what his decision is.
Bash reveals the truth about Nikki.

Episode 1002Niki tells Bash they can't scam Miles again, but Bash puts pressure on her and we discover he's actually her brother. Bash calls on Lucilla and tells her Nikki has a criminal record and served five months in Pollsmoor prison for fraud.
Lucilla tells Miles and he says if it's true, Niki is out.
Fats tells the Khuses Thula changed after he came into money.
There is still a lot of anger in the community towards Thula and S'bu tells him a police holding cell is the safest place for him to be.

David hits the roof when he finds out about Thula. He reads S'bu the riot act and organises the best lawyer.
Miles is still reeling from what Lucilla has told him about Nikki's criminal record.
The lawyer tells Thula that in the eyes of the law he is no murderer. He had no intention of killing the child.
Ivan suggests that Lucilla rather do a DNA check between Niki and S'bu, implying she is a complete and utter con artist. Lucilla is desperate and changes the DNA tests.

Episode 1004Lucilla is overtly nice to Niki in front of Miles and proposes to invite S'bu for dinner.
Thula is gobsmacked to hear that he has made bail.
S'bu calls Niki to find out if Lucilla might have any hidden agendas for the family dinner she has invited him to attend.
Meanwhile, Bash warns Niki to stop deluding herself in believing that she's a member of the Vilakazi family.
Lucilla cunningly steals S'bu's fork during the family dinner. Suffocate kicks Thula out of the club.

Lucilla sends Niki's DNA off for testing. Suarez tells S'bu she's coming after him and X9, and then leaks her suspicions to the media.
Niki persuades Bash that there's no point robbing the Vilakazi home, but he manipulates her into helping him pull off a big score at the office.
S'bu tries to defend Thula, but Suffocate will have none of it.

Episode 1006Niki is wracked with guilt about her impending betrayal of Miles. This doesn't stop her from engineering a job for herself at the upcoming concert. She also tells Bash that she wants no part in the proposed heist: she wants to take her chances with the Vilakazis and be a part of their family.
Hustle is in crisis following the revelation in the papers that X9 is implicated in the tragic death of Matric. S'bu and David try to do damage control by postponing the release of X9's CD.
X9 is of course furious at the decision, and accuses S'bu of deliberately trying to sabotage his career.

Thula bumps into Tshidi and tries to engage with her, but she cuts him off, telling him that she cannot be his friend anymore.
Bash pressurises Niki to find out the details of the safe. She tells him she can't, but the pressure is mounting.
Thula goes to see Puleng to try and apologise, but Puleng and her family tell him to rot in hell.
The lawyer tries to prepare Thula for his first court appearance the next day. Thula does not want to take any easy way out. He wants to face the full might of the law.

Episode 1008Niki tells Bash she's throwing in her lot with the Vilakazis, but is rattled when Bash calls later to say Lucilla told him she was comparing Niki's DNA sample with S'bu's.
Niki realises this will expose her as a complete fraud so she steals Rhonda's key to the safe and gives Bash a duplicate.
David and S'bu prepare Thula for his court appearance. They tell him to plead "not guilty" and assure him he couldn't have a better lawyer in his corner than Allan Bland.
David is furious when he discovers Thula missed his court appearance and is now also facing a charge of contempt of court.

Episode 1009Cuba is worried when she realises just how attached Puleng is to Matric's doll.
While Miles is excited about his adoption plans, Lucilla is as thrilled about the expected arrival of the DNA test results.
When S'bu tries to scare some sense into Thula, his efforts are met with utter indifference.
Although Niki is initially reluctant to take part in the heist, Bash manages to win her over. Niki learns that extra alarm systems have been installed at Redemption, in an effort to tighten security around the cash.

Niki agrees to help Bash with the break-in.

Episode 1011Niki and Bash break into Redemption, but while Bash empties out the safe, Niki activates the alarm.
Niki manages to get away in time but Bash gets caught red-handed. When Lucilla discovers this, she immediately suspects Niki's involvement. Lucilla also tells Niki that the results of the DNA test are expected imminently.
Meanwhile David goes to Suarez Baloyi to find out why she's gunning for X9. Suarez tells David that she is convinced that there is more to this case than meets the eye, and she is determined to uncover what that is.

Episode 1012Niki gets saved before taking a lie detector test when Miles gives them an alibi.
The cops test Rhonda who is so nervous that she comes across as guilty. She is arrested and hauled away.
Bash strangles Nikki after she confessed to activating the alarm and she gets saved by the police.
In the meantime, David suggests to S'bu that the time has come to sever all ties with X9. S'bu gives X9 the bad news.

Tshidi wrestles with her relationship with Thula, and makes a huge decision.
When a picture of Bash appears in the newspaper in connection with the robbery, Lucilla tells Miles that it proves Niki's culpability. Miles brushes her off saying that Rhonda has been arrested for the crime.
Lucilla gets the truth about Niki from Bash in prison. Armed with this evidence, she heads off to confront Miles.
Niki has been pouring out her true story to Miles when Lucilla bursts into the room. Lucilla inadvertently completely reveals her secret.

Hustle's press conference turns into a disaster when X9 makes an unannounced appearance.
David, along with the press, learns that S'bu knew about Thula and X9's involvement in the accident and didn't say anything to anyone. S'bu is startled to see an angry side of David.
Miles broods over his next move and finally decides to finger Niki, as Bash's accomplice to the police.
In the meantime, S'bu and Niki give in to their mutual attraction and Fats walks in on them.

Gogo and Cuba rather childishly show their resentment at being blamed by Puleng for Matric's death. Lucilla begins to panic that Miles will not forgive her.
Meanwhile, Niki gives S'bu a good talking-to about his relationship with his father. Ivan brings a proposition to Lucilla.
Ronald says the conflict between Gail and Tessa has got out of hand and he fires Tessa.

Episode 1017Niki is in a panic after S'bu tells her that there is a warrant out for her arrest. S'bu persuades Niki not to act rashly and flee - instead, he begs her to hide out in his flat until he's spoken to Miles to try to get him to change his mind about her.
Lucilla goes to Miles to find out what he plans to do about them. Miles tells her unequivocally that their relationship, both private and professional, is over.
Later, a shaken Lucilla is tempted by Ivan to betray Miles and take Redemption away from him.
Suarez meets with Thula's lawyer and threatens to make life difficult for him if he fails to convince Thula to implicate X9 in Matric's accident.
