Turns out Rob and his gruesome-twosome partner
Corné of Corné and Twakkie are waving their kitsch hands at the music scene, but not to sing thankfully.
They'll be hosting the MK Awards (DStv, Channel 324) in early 2011. The awards are on Saturday, 26 February 2010 and are happening in Cape Town for the first time.
The venue hasn't been confirmed yet but my guess is they'll be far out, on a farm somewhere.
Events always do this when it comes to
anything that involves live music because Capetonians in and around the city are such party poopers they complain (and even take "action") the moment they hear the sniff of a sound of music or people enjoying themselves after 8pm. Bah!
Between then and now, the duo will be performing their new live show at the Baxter Theatre, from next Tuesday, 16 November to Saturday, 4 December.
Word from Twakkie is that they're also looking at introducing further characters into their oke'dom in 2011, played by them both, but not natch.
