Based on the bestselling works of author Terry Goodkind, Legend of the Seeker follows the tale of woodsman Richard Cypher and a beautiful and mysterious woman named Kahlan Amnell.
In Season 1: When Richard, played by Craig Horner, discovers that he has powers from within, he transforms into a magical leader to stop a sinister tyrant Darken Rahl (Craig Parker).
Kahlan, portrayed by Bridget Regan, serves as his protective guide and has sworn to keep him safe from all harm.
Zedd (Bruce Spence), a wise and powerful old wizard, accompanies Richard and Kahlan on their epic journey.
In the Season 2 premiere: Richard, Kahlan and Zedd are attacked by a skreeling (an underworld beast) while celebrating the fall of Darken Rahl, Richard also learns his true ancestry.
Richard finds out he inadvertently opened an entry to the underworld, unleashing a terrible evil.
Meanwhile, Cara is betrayed by her fellow Sisters of the Agiel and left to die. Richard, Cara, Kahlan and Zed begin their quest to find the Stone of Tears to repair the veil between the underworld and the world of the living.
