Reggie PerinPremiere date: Thursday, 12 November 2009 at 20h00
Revamped from the classic 1970's comedy, Reggie Perrin tells the story of a sales executive on the edge. Reggie is an average man who is finding it increasingly difficult to put up with the monotony of life, a disappointing marriage, the office grind and the daily commute.
After 10 years working at Groomtech, a rebellion builds in Reggie’s mind, taking the form of increasingly surreal flights of fancy. Slowly, Reggie begins to say what he really thinks, to his wife, to his boss, to his fellow commuters... and, most dangerously of all, to his new colleague, the beautiful Jasmine Strauss.
Not Going Out 3Premiere date: Thursday, 12 November 2009 at 20h30
The third season of Not Going Out begins with a bombshell when Lucy announces she’s pregnant, leaving Lee to wonder if the father might accidentally be him.
Tim is outraged at the thought of his friend and his sister together, but Lee has already started to warm to the idea of being a dad.
Meanwhile, a new neighbour moves in upstairs and his constant noise drives Lucy to distraction. She begs Lee and Tim to get him to stop, but when Lee makes the mistake of confronting the man in his own flat, he finds himself staring into the eyes of a cold-hearted killer.
Lucy has bigger things to worry about in the form of Pavlov, a mechanic from Eastern Europe. Will she go ahead with their plans to marry so that he can stay in the country? And will Lee be able to stop the marriage despite Lucy’s family’s joy at the impending wedding?
No Heroics Premiere date: Thursday, 12 November 2009 at 21h00
This sitcom, based in an off-duty superheroes pub, explores the loves and aspirations of four 20-something superhero friends - who are like Superman or Spiderman, only much, much less successful.
Amongst this motley crew of less-than-Marvel-lous superheroes are: The Hotness, who is able to heat up like a giant cigarette lighter and is desperate to be world famous for his powers; Electroclash, who controls machines with her voice and has a tempestuous relationship with The Hotness; Timebomb, a homosexual Spaniard who can see up to 60 seconds into the future; She-Force, the third strongest woman in the world who would rather spend her days waiting for Mr Right to come along; and Excelsor, the most powerful superhero of his generation and the bane of The Hotness’s life.
This group of B-listers would rather get drunk and commiserate over their lack of superiority (except Excelsor who’s always keen to assert his) in their local superheroes-only pub, The Fortress, reading New Power Express and complaining about everyone who’s more successful than them.
BBC Entertainment is on DStv Channel 120.
