Season 3

Featuring eight new celebrity dancers who stutted their stuff with their professional dance partners, the show was broadcast in a new time and date format.

Instead of being on on Saturday nights between 20h00 and 21h30 as previous seasons were, the show was on Thursday nights at 19h30 for an initial hour episode in which each couple performed their dance for the week.

There was an hour break from 20h30 to give viewers time to vote and the show resumed for a half an hour results episode at 21h30.

Tyrone Watkins, Salome Sechele, Dave Campbell and Lillian Phororo returned as the judges of the competition as did hosts Ian von Memerty and Sandy Ngema.

The celebrity contestants included an Olympic medallist, a journalist, a rapper, an Afrikaans music superstar and a wildlife television host.

They were:

Candice-Anne Moodley (presenter of the Indian magazine show Eastern Mosaic)
Erald Felix (host of the SABC2 wildlife show 50/50)
Hezekiel Sepeng (Olympic silver medallist)
Lesley Mofokeng (journalist for the Sunday Times)
Hip Hop Pantsula (award-winning rapper)
Patricia Lewis (one of South Africa's top-selling Afrikaans female singers)
Lieschen Botes (Wonderbra model)
Thembisile Ntaka (winner of the 2003 Popstars reality show)

The celebrities and their partners were eliminated in the following order:

Episode 1: Premiere - no elimination
Episode 2: Lesley Mofokeng and Sara Els
Episode 3: Thembisile Ntaka and Thabo Moloto
Episode 4: Patricia Lewis and Marcel Vilonel
Episode 5: Lieschen Botes and Ryan Hammond
Episode 6: Hezekiel Sepeng and Lindsey Muckle
Episode 7: Erald Felix and Mary Martin

The finale took place at the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg on 12 July, 2007. The two couples who danced the finale were rapper HHP and his partner Hayley Bennet versus television presenter Candice Moodley and her partner Quintus Jansen.

The judges scored HHP and Hayley 108 out of a total of 120 points and Candice and Quintus were scored 95. In conjunction with the audiences higher votes, HHP and Hayley Bennet won the competition, winning the title and R20,000 each.

It was the first season of the show that the winning couple had won a cash prize. The R40,000 was sponsored by the SABC.

Broadcast Times

Each Thursday there are two broadcasts: the first is from 19h30-20h30, during which the celebrities do their weekly dance routines and are given marks out of 40 from the judges.

Thereafter follows an hour-long break to give viewers a chance to vote for their favourite couple, after which the second broadcast - the Results Show - is aired, from 21h30-22h00.

During the Results Show the results of the viewer voting are announced. The viewer votes are combined with the judges' votes and the two couples with the least amount of votes are forced into the Dance-Off.

Shortly before 22h00 the judges decide who they want to eliminate.
