M-Net: CSI 8/12 'Grissom's Divine Comedy'
No, I have no idea what the ep title means either. Given the fire and explosion, it's more like Dante's Inferno.
There's a definite absence now that Sara has left. The scenes of Grissom in his cosy home cooking up a storm somehow remind me of Hannibal Lecter. The guy is not normal.
Anyway, this episode centres on the crisped corpse of Dan Cook (geddit?), who was meant to testify in front of a grand jury about a murder allegedly committed by Tijera gang bad-ass Jose Alvarado. Unfortunately, Cook's goose is, er, cooked before he can finger the mother.
Things become even more complicated when the autopsy reveals that Cook was shot -- so was the fire the actual COD or not? A gun found in the car is traced back to Cook's father-in-law.
The CSI is in a race against time to prove that Alvarado crisped Cook, or the former goes free.
Unfortunately, I dozed off before the end.
Was that Bonnie Bedelia doing the guest star honours?
