e.tv is looking to hire an intern to join the channels Crime and Investigation department, in Joannesburg.
Reporting to the Executive Producer, key performance areas of the job will include:
- Doing research
- Performing field producing
- Conducting basic interviews on case studies
- Assisting with scripting and visually conceptualizing documentaries at pre-production level
- Overseeing off-line edits
- Writing publicity
- Shadowing senior producers in the overall making of a documentary
Requirements:
- A background in journalism and research
- An interest in the visual medium
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Word
- Ability to type well, with an excellent grasp of English grammar
- A driver’s license or learner’s driver’s license
Note:This is a contract position only.
The successful candidate will be required to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays.
