e.tv is looking to hire a Programme Co-ordinator to work in the broadcaster's programming and planning department in Cape Town.
Reporting to the Manager: Programme Scheduling your key responsibilities and duties will include:
- Obtain contracts from Acquisitions and check for authorisation and completeness.
- Advise Acquisitions for discrepancies such as license period, territory restrictions and number of transmissions.
- Liaise with Finance for exchange rates, payment terms and to ensure information is accurate and correct within the broadcast and financial information systems.
- Load International and Local contracts onto the Broadcast Management System.
- Liaise with internal, international and local distributors for any outstanding information, such as running orders, synopses, episode titles, year of release and cast.
- Ensure that running orders are up to date at all times.
- Act as back-up for Programme Scheduling Department in the event one of them is absent.
- Manage and implement the filing of all licensed agreements for all channels
- Process contract amendments if and when required.
- Compile and maintain records of pending material/tapes received in respect of contracts not yet dully signed.
- Monitor all international and local deliveries received and coordinate with Library and Transfers with discrepancies.
- Ensure that the Broadcast Management System is updated and relevant departments are well informed of any updates.
- Provide contractual and inventory information to Channel Director’s office when required.
- Insert all relevant information required for the EPG into the Broadcast system.
- Download and compile the EPG reports required for Multichoice in the appropriate formats for all channels.
- Liaise with EPG Providers on every programme change affecting the EPG across channels.
- Perform ad-hoc duties for the Programme Manager.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Basic understanding of Broadcasting environment
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work with figures and calculations - strong numerical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Analytical and quick thinker
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment
- Must be well organised
- Must be able to work independently
- Experience in Contracts Administration an advantage
