e.tv is looking to hire a Human Resources Manager for the broadcaster's Cape Town office.
Reporting to the Group Head: Human Resources Division the incumbent will be responsible for driving and managing the provision of Human Resources services, policies and programmes for e.tv, e.sat tv and NHU.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with recruitment and selection of staff, both internal and external
- Manage and co-ordinate the implementation of company’s Employment Equity strategy
- Review Employment Equity progress, advise HODs and Group Head of any discrepancies and produce monthly EE reports
- Handle all labour relations issues including setting up disciplinary hearings up to appeal process and representing company at the CCMA
- Promote maintenance of good workplace relations by offering conflict resolution services to managers and employees
- Provide advice in relation to all HR/IR matters, company policies and procedures to management and employees
- Conduct basic induction and ensure all employees are acquainted with company policies
- Ensure company’s HR practices comply with labour legislation and the terms of its broadcasting license conditions
- Ensure proper application of the company’s benefit programmes i.e. medical aid, pension fund, bursary scheme, employee loyalty projects etc.
- Handle any other Human Resources functions as required by GH
- Manage staff and direct activities of the Cape Town HR office
Requirements:
- Recognized 3 years Human Resources management qualification
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the HR environment, 2 years in a managerial role
- Computer skills – working knowledge of Excel a requisite
- Knowledge and understanding of labour legislation e.g. LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHASA, SDA
- Knowledge and understanding of CCMA regulations and procedures
- Good communication, interpersonal and listening skills
- Discretion and ability to keep confidential information
- Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
