Club 808 vs LIVE ratings showdown

Club 808

Both shows are in the same genre and both are on Friday nights ... is newcomer Club 808 outperforming long-time LIVE or is LIVE not making SABC1's weekly Top 10 because of the tough competition of other shows on the channel?

We've compiled the ratings for each show across six recent weeks to give you an idea of how both shows are performing.

Various conclusions can be drawn from them, most notably: the two shows are neck-and-neck, with LIVE narrowly owning Club 808 in the first five weeks. The situation reverses in the sixth week with Club 808 outperforming LIVE.

Is this a trend for the future or was it a once-off switch? Time and the ratings will reveal more.

As you'll see, it's clear that Club 808 has made it's mark as the newer of the two shows while LIVE remains competitive:

Club 808 Rocks!!!

It should be extended to an Hour.

To be honest I just watch LIVE to see Bonang and Minnie, not because of the shows content. C808 is fresher and for me they play more of the music i like and enjoy.

Club 808 is short and interesting and they should keep it that way, an hour is too long they will end up boring us... LIVE .......no comment

Also one needs to take into consideration that these two shows are on different time slots so they arent really competing.

Thanks for the information!

So the claim that Live has 7 million viewers is all a lie! I'm glad that has been cleared.

I do not watch both shows, no interest in music shows.

Hai lenna Live ya mbora, ke rata Bonang fela, she never dissapointsm, mosadi o le wa bua hle, Minnie on the other hand, always has to mess up her lines a qala fela always, girl youd think after being on live for over a year your nerves would be gone, keng? dnt you get used to the poeple you work with?

The only thing about her is she smiles very well for the show.....I have a suggestion.....maybe Live should do like a manican of Minnie, you know with those nice hips and all and put it on set every live show, I think probably only then I'll get accustomed to watch the show...jst a suggestion....

Of the two I prefer Club 808, the time slot is tricky for me now that Isidingo has been moved to 19h30
