As spilt
earlier this week the first ever season of
SA's Got Talent was supposed to premiere on 13 August and has been put on hold amidst all the fiasco's surrounding the pubcaster.
Today SABC2 announced a new premiere date for it: Thursday, 1 October 2009. I'm very relieved about the news - was worried it was just gonna fade out and disappear but it's definitely confirmed to premiere then.
In the meantime the auditions will start happening. Everyone who entered has had their forms processed and will now move on to the audition phase.
The date and venue line-up for them:
Johannesburg: 18th ,19th and 20th July at the Alexandra Theatre in Braamfontein;
Durban: 28th , 29th July at the Sibaya Theatre;
Cape Town: 10th, 11th August at the Cape Town Convention Centre
Word from the producers is that there've been some cool entries including: ventriloquists, quick-changers, magicians, acrobats, contortionists, jugglers. beatboxers and dancers.
As for whether or not they have any talent - bring on the first auditions so we can see/have a heart attack!
