Billy Idol in his grainy 80s White Wedding, brrrr. |
Talk about a rip-off! ... over the past few weeks I've had the misfortune of being forced into watching VH1 Classic and I'm shocked at how we've been ripped off with it.
For some inexplicable reason my gym insists on switching to it on the communal TV so I've been forced to suffer it and it's making the pain of the treadmill even worse.
When DStv
swapped VH1 with it last year I assumed it was to give us a better channel but it's so unbelievably awful I can't believe they've dumped it on us.
It's nothing more than a mix of faded 80s retro and forgettable 90s hair. I understand that there's an appeal in a bit of retro and nostalgia in between but it's unacceptable that they're torturing us with an entire channel dedicated to the past.
Each time I see it I think maybe something contemporary and sufferable will pop up but nope, it's always the same boring rehash.
DStv really pulled a fast one on us didn't they? It makes no
sense that they replaced the previous VH1 for it. VH1 was by no means the bomb but at the least it was better. VH1 Classic must have suddenly been chucked into the bargain bin so they decided to swap it to go cheap or something. Whatever the reason, it
sucks.
