A bark for SA's Got Talent star Finn

2012 Britain's Got Talent winners Pudsey and his owner Ashleigh.

Like Simon Cowell, I've always wanted SA's Got Talent to find a wowser dog act. Before the season started I thought that the show should have done what many US shows do i.e.cheated by scouting for talent at dog shows and inviting headliners to audition.

It wasn't necessary though because it's looking very likely that we've found the next Pudsey.

Finn!

As I mentioned when it happened, six-year old Pudsey became the first ever dog to win the series earlier this year and Thursday night's SA's Got Talent proved that Mzansian pooches have what it takes to snatch the title too.

Three-year-old Finn and his 29-year-old owner Xandre delivered an explosive and flawless Spaghetti Western act. As the judges said, it was purrfect (cat alert!): their costumes, their moves, their relationship - all of it secured them a spot as hot contenders for the future and my favourite act of the night and season so far.

Part of the thrill of it will be seeing what they get up to next. Will they be as impressively precise when we see them next? Will their act be as creative? I have no doubt they'll be the bomb.

My second favourite act of the night was ballroom-biscuit combo Cameron and Donlynn - the way they flipped themselves into those positions was hysterical and perfect too. I found myself feeling pleased for Cameron that he's found Don' - clearly she's got the sort of commitment he's been looking for.

Beatboxers Drumkit and Evo rounded out my fave three of the night. Their beats delivered a surprise in each moment - you didn't know what they were going to whip out next and I enjoyed how they beat each other too.

All in all it was an excellent episode I thought. Here's a vid. of Finn's headline act so you can see his genius in case you missed it:

Watching the first episode of SAGT I thought SA lacked talent but Cape Town last night proved me wrong. I felt like we're going somewhere.

The dog acts are kind of not entertaining to me because they loose talent along the way and keep repeating one thing week in and week out. They are quite a delight for Sharon Osbourne.

The host maar.......he must work on his presenting skills. But so far....Impressed.

Kabelo sani......big up to you!
