SAGT: How It's Going Down

On Thursday night (1 October) SA's Got Talent makes its debut on SABC2 at 19h30.

The series begins with weekly hour-long episodes and extends to two episodes daily for a week, as things heatt up for the Finale.

Here's a look at the structure of episodes across the series, with the finalised times:

Thursday 1 October: 19h30 - 20h30
Johannesburg / Durban auditions

Thursday 8 October: 19h30 - 20h30
Auditions: 40% Cape Town, 40% Johannesburg (includes an act from East London) and 20% Durban.

Thursday 15 October: 19h30 - 20h30
A mix of Johannesburg / Durban / Cape Town auditions.

Thursday 22 October: 19h30 - 20h30
A mix of Johannesburg / Durban / Cape Town auditions.

Thursday 29 October: 19h30 - 20h30
A mix of Johannesburg / Durban / Cape Town auditions.

Thursday 5 November: 19h30 - 20h30
Johannesburg and Cape Town auditions; and the announcement of the Top 21 - who'll all perform in the live Semi-Finals ...

THE BUILD-UP TO THE FINALE

Monday 9 November

19h30 - 20h30:
1st Top 7 performance (Live).

21h30 - 22h00: Two acts are chosen to go through to the final Top 6 - chosen by a combination of the public and judges.

Tuesday 10 November

19h30 - 20h30
: 2nd Top 7 performance (Live).

21h30 - 22h00: Two more acts are chosen to go through to the final Top 6 - chosen by a combination of the public and judges.

Wednesday 11 November

19h30 - 20h30:
3rd Top 7 performance (Live).

21h30 - 22h00: Two final acts are chosen to go through to the Top 6 - chosen by a combination of the public and judges.

Thursday 12 November: Grand Finale

The live broadcast of the finale, during which the Top 6 will do battle for the win during the performance show between 19h30 and 20h30.

The winner will be chosen by public vote only and will be announced during the Results Show which runs from 21h30 - 22h00.

* The public votes between the Performance Show and the Results Show. The act with the highest number of votes auotmatically goes through to the Top 6. The judges then choose their favourite act from the second and third most popular acts. All remaining acts are eliminated.

Cant wait for this show...it looks like its gonna be fun.

Randal(If i got the name correct) is gonna be one of the judges, so thats just one of the reasons why i cant wait to watch...hope i wont miss it
........looks like ill be missing Gen every Thursdays for a month......i really hope by the time i go back to watching Gen full time Nomasonto will be gone.
