BB Africa: 2009 Lockdown Begins!

The time has arriiiiiived. For Big Brother 4 : Da Revolution !... the name's very long now isn't it? -

... the new house for the new season is ready and built and set up for the housemates when they move in next Sunday (6 Sept).

Each season the show does a test run of the house with members of the press to check out how things work and to put Big Brother through his/her paces. It's all happening this weekend and I'm going through to get us as MUCH goss as possible.

At this point all I know is that we've been given instructions that we have to take three specific types of clothes: gym gear, a swimming costume and a formal rigout.

As far as the costume goes, my money's on a jacuzzi again - I'm thinking first prize will be: a jacuzzi and sauna. I very much doubt they'll have a pool again - the housemates hardly used it last year, it's not the right kind of weather for it, December maybe.

I'll have my blinkers on max alert for everything - I know I won't be able to say what the house looks like exactly 'cos of confidentiality clauses to avoid spoilers, but I'm thinking I'll get cunning and make up secret puzzle-speak if necessary.

Speaking of which - conspiracy. I'm not sure how it's going to work, if we'll actually play or not, but I'm hoping that we get to strategise too so we can see how it all goes down.

I'm packed with my things and on my way this morning, arrive at the house at 16h00.

Good luck Tashi! I think there might be a pool again. The blueprints on the new Big Brother logo show that there's a pool but a smaller one. Maybe a paddle pool? Can't wait to hear of your experience. :D

Would also prefer a jacuzzi to a swimming pool. Jacuzzi makes for steaming evening sessions, swimming pool keeps everyone indoors. Please be sure to take the producers to task about the levels of censorship on the show. Housemates who discuss things like politics, religion, sex etc get the camera moved away from them. That kills the whole point of Big Brother

jacuzzi is muuuch better than a pool.............they can use it anytime.

and i really dont get it with this censorship.
i thought part of the idea of bb is to explore and discuss issues pertaining to politics, religion etc, how then are we supposed to dissect the views of youth on these very pertinent issues if they are gonna cut them off every time?

Hello!!! Yes-yes I'm out and aliive and got lots to spill, I just have to finish work on new Snapparazzi - gonna be sorted very soon then I'm gonna SPILL!! Gots loads to tell -

One fast fact: can you believe Big Brother made us pray before supper?! Obviously it resulted in trouble 'cos everyone believes something different so someone did a "Thank you for what we are about to receive, Amen," prayer and then there was a huge debate about it, some feeling unhappy about doing it etc arguing that it doesn't respect all religions, as well as those who aren't religious.

On one hand it seemed we shouldn't have been asked to it at all but on another it caused lots to say. I've been thinking about it a lot and thought it could lead to a revolution if it happens in the house nightly, with housemates refusing to do it 'cos of all the stuff surrounding it.

Dorothy - there aren't any shower pics unfort.:0 but I did shower nudester. They didn't film it but the thing that freaked me is that all the techies hang out in the corridors so I don't know if anyone could see - there's still one-way glass in the shower. It was late so I hoped they were all asleep.

More-more to follow!!

PS: Also plotted how to scale the walls and realised there's no ways of getting out. You could climb from the inside to reach the top of the surrounding wall but once you're at the top the jump down to sanity's too far and you'd break.
