If there’s anyone in SA who doesn’t know who Gareth Tjasink is, he’s a model/actor/doctor who was appeared in those “Something for the ladies” Archers Aqua ads and briefly in Egoli. So if you’re despairing that the models are all female and there’s no male eye candy, don’t be. There are himbos as well as bimbettes aplenty.
Hmm, can a doctor be a himbo? Who cares, I’m calling him one anyway.
Dr Himbo says he’s smart, adaptable, amicable and diplomatic, all qualities which will stand him in good stead on Survivor. On the bad side, he’s also the king of whiners so don’t be surprised to see the other castaways gag him and leave him tied to a palm tree if he gets too whiny.
The whininess might not be an issue because apparently the ladies will be too hypnotized by his chiseled cheekbones and washboard abs to notice what he’s saying. He believes that he can charm the girls because he is so
really, really ridiculously good-looking.
I’m trying to think of a single male survivor who was ever kept for his looks by the female contestants and I cannot think of a single one. I remember plenty of women who have skated by on nude sunbathing but men? Nope. So I get the feeling that Dr Himbo is going to be sorely disappointed when his Blue Steel fails to net him the million from a posse of adoring fangirls.
