Style Her Famous takes the “fashion challenged” and gives her a head-to-toe makeover in a day - customized for her but inspired by her favourite celebrity.
Fueled by Jay Manuel’s style and supported by his Style Her Famous glam squad, each episodes sees someone tranforming their look.

Monday, 1 June 2009Episode 1: Kate HudsonSamantha has traveled the world and has collected clothes along the way causing her wardrobe to be “globally confused.” She has finally settled down and is looking to make the shift into the professional world and needs clothes that people don’t mistake for a costume. It’s up to Jay’s glam squad using Kate Hudson’s style as inspiration and give Samantha a new “adult” look that she won’t send packing.
Monday, 8 June 2009Episode 2: Eva MendesChristina shed her sexy clothes when she had her three children and she’s lost her confidence along with her style. She won’t even eat in a nice restaurant because she thinks she looks too trashy.
When Christina starts putting on clothes that aren’t tank tops, she starts feeling beautiful. She no longer walks… she struts. When Joanna does her make up, Christina almost can’t believe that it’s her in the mirror.
With bombshell Eva Mendes as inspiration, Christina learns that she’s been sexy all along and now she just has to dress the part.
Monday, 15 June 2009Episode 3: Alicia KeyesAnyi lost her mother when she was just five, and was therefore brought without a female role model. Anyi grew up believing her mother was the most elegant woman in the world and hoped she could one day be just like her. With no female role models, Anyi grew up as a tomboy thinking sweats and sneakers were high fashion.
Now almost 20, Anyi has written a book but lacks the confidence it will take to get it sold. Anyi quickly learns that hair care is as important as hair styling. She gets some beautiful extensions and the inner transformation is as obvious as the outer.
Anyi finds the girly girl that has been hiding behind the sweats and soccer gear. Jay and his glam squad with help from Alicia Keys as inspiration show Anyi that she is just as beautiful as her mother was.
Monday, 22 June 2009Episode 4: Keira KnightleyKristen is a 21 year-old student with dreams of being a teacher. Most students gain the usual “freshman 15”… for Kristen, it was the “freshman 50!” She worked hard to lose the weight, but she still feels like she’s living in a fat suit. Kristen has just gotten engaged to her first love and they’re about to have an engagement party, but she has nothing to wear.
She hasn’t worn a dress since her prom and she really wants to look special for the party. Kristen is reluctant to show skin at first, not realizing how beautiful she really is. She’s been wearing a size 8 and George K points out that she’s actually a size 2.
Kristen goes through a transformation on the inside as well as the outside. By the time the photo shoot rolls around, Kristen is showing skin, and she is radiating with newfound confidence.
Monday, 29 June 2009 Episode 5: Queen LatifahOni is a woman with something to say. She is a professional writer who feels most alive when she’s performing her poems on a stage. Unfortunately, her wardrobe needs to get out of the spotlight.
Her three sons are embarrassed by their mom’s over the top clothes when she comes to their soccer games in her performance wear. Being a full figured woman, Oni admires the way Queen Latifah dresses for her curves and hopes that with her as inspiration, her talent will take the spotlight… not her clothes. Oni’s hair is a mess, from the colour to the style… or lack of it.
Oscar Joseph adds some sleek extensions, and Lori gives her the makeup fit for a queen. When Jay’s team is done with her, Oni is smiling as bright as a spotlight and she’s ready to take the stage.
