Season 2 of I Want To Sing Gospel saw one of the eliminated candidate with Samkelisiwe Mvelase rejoining the competition as a wildcard candidate. Once again Nhlakanipho Cele and Malcolm Manuel were the two with the highest number of votes. The theme: Traditional music....celebrating heritage month and the guest judges were Pastor Solly Mahlangu and Winnie Mashaba.

habani Ncube

He gave an average performance of Unamandla uJehova, and it's been downward spiral for him. He doesn't deserve to win this competition unless he improves next week.

Lindelani though "loved the transition from what he is used to"and he said it was an okay performance which could be better.
Winnie Mashaba said he did a great job, he must just balance his voice.
Pastor Solly Mahlangu...said the song was happy but he did not get the happiness from him.

Mvuselelo Radebe

Compared to what I have seen from him in the past three weeks he gave a much improved performance

Lindelani "beautiful performance, loved it"
Winnie "loved the energy on stage"
Pastor Solly "pushed the song, strong voice and strong presence"

Samkelisiwe Mvelase

She had a false start eyiloza Nangu loJesu and I was like...what's this now?, but she recovered well and gave an okay performance.

Lindelani said she struggle with the tuning issue.
Winnie said she went of tune, she must be careful of the pitch....her voice is out of this world.
Ps Solly "star quality she has"

Malcolm Manuell

First it was Charisma who performed Vrou van Samaria back in 2008 and now Malcolm copied her or is it an issue of not having Afrikaans gospel traditional songs. He did well shem even though I also felt he should not have done the U is My Heil part.

Lindelani liked his attire
Ps Solly said he has a command, interpreted the song correct and confidence is good.
Winnie said he did excellent

Nhlakanipho Cele

He could never do any wrong in my eyes or ears...I just love his unique voice. Even though it was a straight song with only one sentence I would still vote for him. He performed his own song Thixo wam.

Lindelani said it was a straight line
Ps Solly said the voice is good and there was not much he could do about the song.
Winnie...I can't recall what she said

For the second time this season, there was no elimination....the judges felt that the traditional style limits the contestants so it was not going to be fair to the contestants. Anyway, it's obvious who are the final two contestants as far as the viewer votes are concerned....they should just do the remaining contestants a big favour and eliminate them. Next week two will be eliminated and Samkelisiwe's return will be short lived...I think she is going unless mamfundisi intercede's nonestop in the next couple of hours

USmakeliliswe shame ubuyiswe yiNkosi - lets hope the Nkosi will keep ukulunga kwaya against powerful PR nd markerting powers zika Malcom

I don't think Malcom strike me a creative person who likes challenges - I was hoping we would expand our Afrikaans pool of traditional "tent" songs but niks nje - he has hardly done any other local SA lingos nje except 4 that line in last week's duets - I was there4 not shocked when he did his Markhams "traditional outfit" & stole songs 4rm CD collection- he just did not make any effort tu

they should just do the remaining contestants a big favour and eliminate them
kwaaaaaa - ngcolile Mfo, how is this a favor ngoku......lol lol

I only saw Nhlaka's performance and I really enjoyed it. I was surprised by the judges comments that it was a one line. How many traditional songs do they know that are not one liners. People must just not do things they dont understand. Traditional songs are a repitition of the same words. I think Lindelani has issues with Nhlaka, he refuses ti give him a score of a 100%, even when he does well. I mean he was told he doesnt smile, and last night he had a happier face then Mkhize looks for something else to critisize him. I will continue voting for Nhlaka and attend the live recording for his outstanding voice and melody.

Malcolm is just okay, and its the same week in and out. He sings yena, but he has not given me a reason to want to buy his CD or attend his concert. I wish he could be a little "looose" like Patric Duncan. That man brings the house down and I just dont see Malcolm being able to perform. A voice on its own is not good my bra!

Hayi ke, I dont know why Samke is back. From the auditions it was disaster nje, I didnt like the way she sang. Her mom's prayers are really being answered. There 4 other girls were waaay much better than her.

Next week I see Samke leaving. Thabani by default will also be hanging his mike.

Madala its not even about him singing in any other lingo, but just being original and entertaining.
