By now you've read all sorts of wonderful reports about what happened at the finale, yeah it was awesome!
Don't worry though, am not about to repeat what you've heard...well, at least I hope not to.
The housemates perfomed that killa song and all I kept thinking was "Why is Maureen rocking those red shoes?"
An awkward moment here and there but it was cool. Am not buying their album though....if it comes out that is.
You know how people get all creative after being on Big Brother. Ijooo!
So, the big day came and we were subjected to seeing the Untouchables again... Okay, sorry about that, I'm not about to mean today.
Wow, TV does not do a lotta justice to people. I mean, most of these guys look much more beautiful in person. I've always been baffled about what it was Maureen saw in Code but hayi shame, up close, he's not that bad at all.
SHOUT OUTS!
First things first.
Shoooo, I can't believe what a hustle it was to crack an invite...damn. A big shoutout to all the WONDERFUL people who climbed mountains to make sure that I get my moment with Richard, you guys rock!
Channel O, what can I say, you guys just simply refuse to be in my bad books!Tons of respect, now about that job....
Refilwe gal, that chiskop is hott! You're my hero! Oh, and Martin, thanks for going to Lagos o!!!
Channel O TJ, Lelo, me and Refilwe Sehume from MNET.
WOW MOMENTS...
One of them is definitely meeting Jean Sutherland, who's a journalist for a Namibian Newspaper called ....The Namibian.
Jean read my Channel O Awards Article and after hearing me complain about how Namibia could win Best Kwaito, she decided that I needed to learn about Namibian music and brought me a beautiful compilation of Namibian tunes.
Hahaha, nice one Jean and yeah, Namibian music is cool.
I am so shortsighted, if I had known this is how you operate, I would have criticized Namibian guys......coz then you woulda brought me a Namibian gazu.....ummm, sorry guy.
You kept on saying you were supporting Ofuneka but this excitement, after Richard's win sure tells a different story!
You rock Jeano!!!
(
Damn! Only thing I regret about posting these pictures is that I can't wear this dress in public again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Niyahlanya.....I'ma rock it and that "other" Journalist better shut up)
CHECKING OUT THE HOUSEMATESBefore going to the next picture, I have to clarify that this next one does not form part of my "WOW" moment....just for the record.
Anaconda was there in full force. I see we have a few things in common, we've both found a way to deal with the receding hairline story and we are pros in the "FAKE-A-SMILE" game...nice one Anna!
Ofunemama, excited to finally be out of the house. When she emerged in this dress I got an sms "They've given Ofu a purple outfit! Y'all know what purple means rite?"
Heheheh abantu bayakhuluma yazi!!
I honestly think she represented her country well, what an intelligent human being she is!
It was so amazing/surprising that she was the one female housemate who was surrounded by lotsa guys on the dance floor!!! Not Meryl or Tatiana, Ofunneka!
Yho, talk about being magnetic. I guess we know what it is the African man wants: the Ofu Type.
I would SO lurve to tell you what nationality those guys were but seeing how sensitive the people on this site are, I will not say anything. Next thing I know, I will be called Xenophobic and someone will be bringing me a Nigerian CD to listen to. Oops!
I really don't remember when this happened. Kwaku took advantage of me!!!
Hehehe I have to admit though, after meeting him, I have to say I fully understand why a good girl like (the initial) Bertha can go bad over this.....Hotness indeed!
Shooo, looks like this person of "magnitude" has quite the roving eye....wish he had left that "dancing" belt at home.
Max is more beautiful in person....wish he had remained humble throughout his stay in the house. I was a fan!
Oh man, I honestly didn't like Meryl in the house. I only fell in love with her during her post eviction interview with KB. She's a wonderful soul though and that's a genuine smile! (Bertha take note)
She is tiny, tiny, very very tiny....ke moketa! Made me feel fat standing next to her...
She is also really beautiful...just wished she would stop with that beauty queen "blow-a-kiss-to-the crowd-and-wave" thingy...
My heart went out to Maureen. How could Code not feel anything for her now? All those things he said to her in the house, was he lying to her? Not that I remember but Love doesn't go away that quickly man!
Hahahaha Ma-Justo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Justice looked kinda "not interested" in what was going on...I had to go and get him up from his couch to take this. Asked him why he was just sitting there, arms folded and stuff and he was like "I'm just chilling man"....oh well, hope you did dance afta all that chilling.
Jeff Anthony spent a lot of time standing at the bar and my friend was like "Please let's go talk to Jeff, no one's talking to him"...We then went, took pictures, chatted a bit about his mushroom farming project, him being an "entrepreneur" and his books and we left.....
Came back and he was still standing alone so I went up to him and asked him to dance with me....I honestly thought he'd say no....kanti, haaaaa, thatha Jeff!!!
Thanks for the killa moves buddy.
P.S. Love the manicure bra :)
It didn't matter how many times I told Code "Let's take one with just the two of us"....this chick was not about to step aside!!
Who can blame you Juna, not with Maureen lingering around....
Well, they spent half the evening slow dancing in the middle of the dance floor. Juna is cute bathong.
Richard, Ofu & Tatiana took forever to get there but hey, the wait was worth it I guess.
You guys know I've supported Richiana since forever but I was really disgusted with them kissing and acting like a couple even after they left the house.
They could have at least waited till they got to their hotel, just out of respect for their (maybe former) partners.
Tati gal, we could both do with nose jobs. You can go first coz your boyfriend just got rich!
To all the people who are angry and upset that Richard won, I honestly understand why you are upset. He is a difficult person, even more difficult to love and I know why anyone can hate him but the truth is that I don't.
All you guys saw was a guy cheating on his wife in full view of the world and at one stage I felt like that but there was a moment where I was all of a sudden able to see beyond all of that.
He is just a boy who needs guidance, a rough diamond that would be really sparkly after cleaning up.
I am very hopeful about him because I have watched him learn so many things from Tatiana during their "relationship". He was forever willing to learn, quick to apologize when in the wrong and I believe that we can't all abandon him.
We can't all hate him now, that would be stranger! Someone has to love him, even if he's a bad boy. I choose to love him.Just letting you know where I come from.
Now can we stop judging Africa's morality by the results of this TV Show? It is not ALL of Africa that voted for Richard. It was only a section of the people who watched BBA2 and I doubt they even make up 1% of the continent's population. Unless y'all know something I don't?
A big thank you to all the housemates for making this show the HUGE success that it was! I am proud to be AFRICAN!
P.S. Did I leave anyone out??? P.S.S. Why weren't the horrible MOLES at the FINALE??
