(She quit enews, someone please find out why for me. Anyway, as much as I love her, I have mixed feelings about what was going on in this particular interview)

Who is a perfect example of HOW NOT TO BE A SPOKESPERSON.
Zizi Kodwa, I blame you for this mess! How could you leave the ANCYL without making sure that you have a proper replacement? Vuyiswa Tulelo, where are you girl? What the hell is wrong with the ANCYL? Can't you guys do anything right? Ftshek maan!

Redi: You've promised to take militant action against the fake racist girl, what does that mean....
Floyd: Look, let's clarify something first before we go into those questions...I think it's very unfortunate, actually childish of you as a radio presenter to make conclusive remarks without having consulted us to explain the context of what we mean by Hellen Zille being racist, really Redi you're being childish.
Redi: What do you mean “racist”?

Anybody with a brain knows that sleeping around, means having sex and sleeping with more than one person. I was giving you an opportunity to say what you meant by it and you can't answer a simple question but you've wasted time...

| Redi tried to keep her cool & obviously it was a mission, given the typa person she was interviewing bt there were so many Debra Patta characteristics in her style, I was left a bit disappointed. The throwing of insults (e.g. You can't think - meaning u're DOM) & how she carried on with that question 2 a point where even she almost seemed as silly as Floyd. Guess that demonstrated how the ANCYL can take the most respected individuals & bring them to stoop DOWN to their level. That's meant to be a diss to the YL, hope it sounds like one :-( |

Yhu hayi this interview its clear from the start that this Floyd guy was not going to give the answer Redi was looking for to her question about what they mean about the fact that she's sleeping around. So I don't understand why she kept on asking the same question okwakhe, it seems like yena k'qala she didn't have anymore questions to ask except for this one. Hayi maan this is really boring I got bored now reading the same question and same answer.
I kept on reading to this article hoping that there will be this answer that Redi is looking for but to my disappointment there wasn't. I think the ANCYL nayo should hire people who are suitable for these kind of jobs or situation not just because they want to make each other famous. Its like now they want to be famous of being stupids or dumb (sorry if I offend anyone). I mean really now guys can we grow and start using our brains, really like really now!! |

I wanted to listen to the podcast..and i ended up on several of Redi's including the roundtable discussions were she youth group representatives. The other parties were represented by their leaders as usula and ancyl was represented by Floyd..who said that Julius is too important to debate "less important" people like bo Khumo and the others...(i love the IFP youth leader a lot)...
I kept thinking...if the national youth league or whatever they call it was comp[osed of all the youth party leaders (minus floyd and co.)...it would be so effective..i think they are a smart lot...but in my dreams hey..
Ina later interview with Julius he said that the other youth parties are too less important to debate with, he should be debating with Zille rather than Khumo...??????...K..less said..good for my sanity..
I was getting upset..t'wasnt funny anymore...bocos i feel ancyl...dont really need anybody else..you could bring in Andile Mazwai, but if he is of them...we will always get this from them...i feel they have no respect for anybody but their clique..and by clique i mean the 20 of them in th eladreship..they dont care about ther followers, they dont care about anybody...so we'll never get anything better from them.....
Its actually very upsetting...i will be "mobalising" the young people i know to do things for themselves...bcos nobody is gonna help them...ispite of the position they have to help..what do they do anyway..this youth parties..ive never reapd th benefits of their existence..post 1994 that is...
As for Redi....i think for that day, she left her brillinat mind at home. bcos she knew she wasnt going to need it.....she always has fun when she's hosting ancyl...and i think she likes it......

Floyd is a politician and a strategist and not a public speaker, I am not too sure how they got to the conclusion that he would do a good job as a speaker. Having worked with him at the SAUS (he was a secretary general then) and he most of the time had to end his meeting before time coz he couldnt control his crowd so how they decided to appoint him as a spokesperson of the ANCYL is truly beyond me.
This very much sounds like something he would say, he doesnt have a good way with words shem.

@ Maddie, lol... when u send some1 outthere, you hope with your life that they will handle the interview the way they handle normal conversations but somehow shem they underestimate the power of these interviewers and they get overwhelmed then they stuff up... urgh!
@ Cheesa, Zizi was mos the spokesperson of the ANCYL when Fikile was the president so he had served his 2 terms as the sp so he had to leave sadly, constitution didnt allow him to return and besides shem he needed growth naye nje but it was a great loss to the ANCYL.
