William (Heath Ledger), the son of a poor thatcher, never imagined that he would realize his childhood dream of becoming a knight. However, one day, at a medieval jousting tournament, fate hands him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Before long, he has reinvented himself as noble Ulrich von Lichtenstein of
Gelderland, and is vying for the hand of the beautiful Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon).

Set amidst the world of the 14th century European jousting circuit, William and his band of medieval misfits - the serious, soft-hearted Roland (Mark Addy), hot-headed Wat (Alan Tudyk), Kate the blacksmith (Laura Fraser), and an unknown writer named Geoff Chaucer (Paul Bettany) – embark on the journey of their lives. Directed by Brian Helgeland (2001).

An unusual love triangle is created when Dedee seduces Matt, and later reveals she's carrying his baby.

Enter Sheriff Carl Tippett (Lyle Lovett) who investigates the misdemeanours and falls for Lucia (Lisa Kudrow), Bill's best friend and his ex-lover’s sister.

As they confront their sexuality and learn to let go of their traditional beliefs, they all discover that what they truly want are lasting, committed and loving relationships. Directed by Don Roos (1998)

When Melvin tries to convince Carol to return to work, she ends up getting entangled in the chaotic life of this misanthropic oddball.

Meanwhile, in an unpredictable turn of events, Melvin’s world is infiltrated by his ailing artist neighbour, Simon (Greg Kinnear) and his tiny dog, throwing Melvin, Carol and Simon together as they begin to discover things about themselves and each other, which they never expected to learn.
