SCD 4x03: It's An Own Goal For Mark Williams

Former Bafana Bafana star Mark Williams faced his inevitable fate last night when he became the second celebrity voted out of SABC2's Strictly Come Dancing 4.

Forced to perform in his second consecutive dance-off, this time against actress Brenda Ngxoli, Williams was unable to repeat his heroics of last week and was unanimously voted out by the judges.

Talent-challenged socialite Uyanda Mbuli kicked off the evening with partner Ryan Hammond, but the judges were unimpressed with her foxtrot and gave the couple the lowest score of the night, 21.

Comedian and TV host Trevor Noah looked set to win yet another round, as his rumba with Hayley Hammond went down a treat with the judges, who scored them 29.

He was followed by Isidingo star Emmanuel Castis, who has been second to Trevor since the start of the competition. Emmanuel made it clear he was gunning for Trevor, and did indeed improve his standing by equalling Trevor's score with his foxtrot.

Neither would win the night, however. Schmodel Tanya van Graan turned up in a slinky white number, pointed her toes to the sky and won babbling praise from all four judges, who scored her 31 for her moody rumba.

Her score was equalled by Ashley Hayden and partner Muntu Ngubane, who also performed the rumba. Ashley and Tanya won the night, leaving the squabbling duo of boys in a distant second place.

Despite scoring 27 for her foxtrot, which put her in third place after the first round of judging, Brenda Ngxoli ended up in the bottom two with Mark Williams.

The pair had to dance off for the judges to keep their place in the competition, and the judges wasted little time letting the voting public know what they thought of Brenda's plight.

Dave Campbell, looking more and more like The Corpse Bride every time he appears on screen, was particularly upset that Brenda was in the bottom two, saying the public had clearly missed the boat.

He had no hesitation in casting the deciding vote which saw Brenda stay, and Mark pack up his tog bag.

This was how the judges voted in the first round, before public voting:

Tanya: 31
Ashley: 31
Trevor: 29
Emmanuel: 29
Brenda: 27
Mark: 25
Uyanda: 21

Next week the couples will dance either the graceful Viennese Waltz or the fiery Paso Doble.

TVSA will be attending all live shows as from next week - keep an eye out for our coverage.

Ian is VERY FUNNY. He kept me in stiches!

The judges were really frustrated and visibly upset with Brenda having to fight to stay instead of Uyanda...so was I judges.

Tanya was great!
Ashley was awesome!
Trevor was just okay this week!
