TX Date: 5 NOVEMBER 2007
When Alex attempts to teach Samantha some self-defense something terrible happens. And another criminal incident upsets Samantha. Tino is convinced to stop being suspicious of his mother's connections to Laqhasha. In exchange for being allowed to "keep" Busi, Thato tells Thoko that Jomo was having an affair with Maletsatsi. Meanwhile, Daniel considers kicking Thato out of his house. Shakira puts one foot into the "dark side".
TX Date: 6 NOVEMBER 2007
Daniel orders Thato to move out of Stan's house. Mangi tries to stand up for her but is steam-rolled by his uncle. Samantha's determined to confront her attacker, and is furious when he protests his innocence. Shakira's need for acceptance has her swearing allegiance to Abigail. Tino looks to tighten his bond with Shakira, unaware that she's deceiving him. Thoko attacks Maletsatsi, accusing her of having an affair with Jomo.
TX Date: 7 NOVEMBER 2007
Andrew discourages Samantha in investigating her attacker. Meanwhile, Samantha freaks out to discover the security guard still patrols NZH. Eddie wants Thoko taught a lesson, and wants here reported for the assault on Maletsatsi. Mmadika comes back to town and Alex offers her the spare bedroom. Maletsatsi kicks Thato out of her house.
TX Date: 8 NOVEMBER 2007
Morongwe isn’t thrilled to have Mmadika staying at her apartment, especially when the woman wanders around in front of Alex in her nightgown... Nadia wants Daniel to reconsider his decision to evict Thato, but he refuses. And Maletsatsi ends her friendship with Thato. Abigail refuses to investigate the security guard, whom Samantha is adamant is responsible for the hijacking attempt on her. However, Abigail transfers Fred, who takes it personally. Eddie is impressed with Mmadika's journalistic skills.
Week 47
TX Date: 12 NOVEMBER 2007
Thato's getting ready to move in with Nadia and can't help taunting Daniel about it. Samantha and Andrew still can't make any decision about their future... then the matter is finally taken out of their hands. Daniel realizes that there's tension between Morongwe and Mmadika and wonders how best to exploit it.
TX Date: 13 NOVEMBER 2007
Andrew and Samantha are coming to terms with the miscarriage. Then Frederic the security guard disappears, throwing Andrew and Samantha's future in South Africa into uncertainty. Despite Morongwe's objections, and with Eddie's urging, Daniel decides to offer the senior features writer position to Mmadika. However, Mmadika has a surprise for all of them. Daniel refuses to allow Thato to move in with Nadia. He undertakes to find her a place to stay himself and ends up approaching Jay-Jay for help.
TX Date: 14 NOVEMBER 2007
Thato's manipulation starts to have an effect on Daniel and Nadia's relationship. Samantha and Andrew give notice to leave, and Samantha leaves for Cape Town. Jay-Jay offers Thato a place to stay and Thato finds another angle of attack in her war with Thoko. Eddie and Mmadika's bond grows closer.
TX Date: 15 NOVEMBER 2007
Thato accepts Jay-Jay's offer to move in with him. Abigail ropes Shakira into reasoning with Tino, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Frederic sends Andrew an unnerving message... Morongwe's stunned when Mmadika accepts a job at The Voice. And then Mmadika reveals to Eddie that he is one of the reasons why she's taking the job.
Week 48
TX Date: 19 NOVEMBER 2007
Andrew decides to take pro-active steps in order to fight back against Frederic. To determine Frederic's whereabouts, Abigail wants Shakira to use her sexuality to coax information out of the Pride security guards. Thato is shocked to learn from Jay-Jay that Thoko has no intentions of bringing Busi back to Joburg within the agreed time frame. Eddie and Mmadika have an immediate connection at work, while Maletsatsi invites Pastor Matlala over to the flat for lunch.
TX Date: 20 NOVEMBER 2007
During Andrew's first self-defense lesson, his anger takes over. Lolo's blind date is a big disappointment. When Thato decides that she is going to fetch Busi in KZN, Mangi decides he wants to come along. Tino is suspicious about Shakira's defense of Abigail's behaviour. Maletsatsi is over the moon when Eddie asks her to invite Pastor Matlala over for dinner ...that is, until she finds out it wasn't his idea.
TX Date: 21 NOVEMBER 2007
The Khumalo family is worried about the evening's dinner with Pastor Matlala: will Eddie behave himself? Andrew's paranoia heightens when a mysterious stranger is spotted tampering with his car. Jay-Jay is more than happy to fill in as Thato's date when Nadia cancels on her. In a cold fury, Abigail lays down the law for Shakira.
TX Date: 22 NOVEMBER 2007
Jay-Jay's groin strain is a source of amusement at work, but it brings him in ever greater physical contact with Thato. Nadia becomes increasingly concerned about Thato's manipulation of Jay-Jay. Pastor Matlala's revelation causes everyone to rethink their opinions on him, including Eddie. Shakira tries to talk to Morongwe about her problems with Abigail, and Morongwe warns Abigail that Shakira could be a liability. Andrew comes face to face with Frederic Ngwenya.
Week 49
TX Date: 26 NOVEMBER 2007
Andrew is tearing apart at the seams. He asks Fana to help him search for Frederic, and Daniel advises him to buy a gun. Mmadika encourages Eddie to finish his uncompleted novel. Maletsatsi spends more time with Pastor Matlala and Lolo starts developing an interest in the church, much to Eddie's annoyance. Thato and Jay-Jay are still dealing with the aftermath of their stolen kiss. Tino grows increasingly suspicious that Shakira is somehow in cahoots with Abigail.
TX Date: 27 NOVEMBER 2007
Eddie begins working on his novel again without the support of Maletsatsi, but Mmadika's enthusiasm more than makes up for it. Thato surprises Jay-Jay by being okay with the fact that Thoko isn't bringing Busi home today, as agreed upon. Andrew is hatching a plan to seek revenge against Frederic Ngwenya. Fana is impressed with Lolo's newfound maturity. Tino snubs Abigail by not inviting her to the launch of his new penthouse work space. She comes anyway, and is viciously confronted by a drunken Andrew.
TX Date: 28 NOVEMBER 2007
Thato persuades Jay-Jay not to let the memory of Vusi come between them. Palesa suggests Fana considers adopting with her in a few year’s time and they decide to volunteer at the Newtown orphanage. An envious Eddie is forced to cover upon hearing about Mmadika’s date. Maletsatsi and Lolo grow closer now that Lolo’s attending church. Mmadika commends Eddie on the first chapter of his book-in-progress. Andrew challenges Abigail to get him an unlicensed and untraceable gun.
TX Date: 29 NOVEMBER 2007
Maletsatsi is startled to realize the growing closeness between Eddie and Mmadika. Jay-Jay confesses that his infatuation with Thato was initially born of his own obsession with Vusi – but this does not stop them making love for the first time. Abigail decides to give Shakira a bigger operational role in her criminal network.
