Episode 1686Donna recruits Stephen to expose Kefilwe to Mangi but Kefilwe cleverly out manoeuvres her. Zinzile encourages her son to speak openly with his father about relationships and Scelo is left with egg on his face. Pushed by circumstance, Gloria commits a criminal act.

Donna seems ready to admit defeat but some uncharacteristic behaviour from Mangi gives her reason to believe all hope is not lost. Kefilwe tempts Mangi with the worst possible offer.
Ruby has a niggling suspicion of a very disturbing fact. Gloria is suddenly not so averse to working night shifts and Thembeka loses a prized possession.

Mangi makes Ruby an offer that causes her to flip out. Zinzile confesses the truth to a furious Mlungisi and he accuses her of not being the woman he married. Gloria ropes someone else into her new scheme.

Episode 1690A new development between Quinton and Ruby pushes Mangi down a road he thought he'd never revisit. Mlungisi confiscates Scelo's kit with the intention of returning it to the supplier: Daniel Nyathi. Gloria's scheme to send office supplies to Ndumiso kicks into action.

The screws really begin to tighten around the Ngemas' financial situation resulting in Mlungisi resorting to desperate measures and Scelo determined to bail his father out.
Inspired by Quinton, Gloria has an idea to start a new business within a business.

After a candid conversation with Ruby, Mangi takes a difficult but necessary step to get his life back on track but a horrifying discovery threatens to set him back and potentially cost him his freedom.
