Monday 2 March 2009Episode 865 Mangi fights a losing battle as his addiction to the heroin he's being fed gets the better of him. Lefa's fast is over, so - hopefully - his relationship with Palesa will return to normal?
Eddie urges Dika to mentor Jacques, who wants to write more serious articles, but she's not sure she has the time or the inclination. On Abigail's instruction, Mzilikazi contacts Daniel and demands a large sum of money in exchange for Mangi's safe return.
Tuesday 3 March 2009Episode 866 Abigail has succeeded in turning Mangi into a drug addict. Against her better judgement, Dika agrees to mentor Jacques. Finally, Daniel receives a lead concerning Mangi's kidnappers. Lefa is frustrated because he can't work out why Palesa is so angry.
Wednesday 4 March 2009Episode 867 Mangi injects himself for the first time, which triggers the next stage in Abigail's plan of revenge. Dika reluctantly begins mentoring Jacques. Daniel is given the time and address for the drop off of the ransom money, in exchange for his son. Lefa takes the pressure off Palesa by relieving her of all her church duties, much to her irritation.
Thursday 5 March 2009Episode 868 Alex gets a lead that seems to point to the exact location where Mangi is being held. Mzilikazi is just about to remove Mangi from the building when Alex, Daniel, and associates arrive.
Mangi is recovered safely, although he doesn't seem to be himself. The news reaches Abigail, who is deeply worried - could her plan be about to blow up in her face? Dika struggles to work on her story while simultaneously trying to train Jacques to be a news journalist.
Monday 9 March 2009Episode 869 Shakira is horrified Abigail has turned Mangi into a heroin junkie. Dika and Jacques cannot contain their excitement when it looks like they may have found an apartheid assassin alive and well.
Abigail instructs Mzilikazi to drop off another stash of heroin with Mangi, and continue to feed his addiction. Palesa has little chance to enjoy her new freedom before she's in conflict with her mother in law again.
Tuesday 10 March 2009Episode 870 Alex picks up on Mangi's strange behaviour. Dika and Jacques' informant sends them a photograph of the man suspected of being Marius, "The Butcher", van Heerden.
While the resemblance to the infamous apartheid assassin is indeed uncanny, Eddie wants more concrete proof. Fuelled with anger over what has happened to Mangi, Daniel urges Alex to find the kidnappers so he can squeeze the life out of them with his bare hands.
Wednesday 11 March 2009Episode 871 Alex is not fooled by Mangi's deception and he shares his concerns with Nadia. Dika finally meets Marius, "The Butcher", van Heerden face-to-face. Tino and Erin take their relationship to the next level.
Thursday 12 March 2009Episode 872 Jacques wants Dika to pull the article on "The Butcher", sincerely believing they've got the wrong man. Tino and Erin's relationship continues to hot up. Daniel is furious when Mangi 'forgets' to tell Mo about an important meeting. Mangi continues his slide into addiction hell.
Monday 16 March 2009Episode 873 Mangi's behaviour becomes stranger - and nasty - when Daniel confronts him about his work performance. Mangi overhears Daniel and Nadia's discussion over admitting him to a hospital.
Dika enjoys the overwhelming response to her article about "The Butcher" - until The Voice learns Etienne Le Roux intends to sue them for defamation.
Erin is appalled when a story is printed in Scandal revealing she and Tino are having a no-strings-attached fling. She is even more shocked to learn the story came from Tino.
Tuesday 17 March 2009Episode 874 Mangi is unnerved when Mzilikazi warns him to slow down his drug consumption. But when he takes too many sleeping pills as an alternative, he's discovered, unconscious, by Keke.
Tino freaks out when he sees an article in which Erin retaliates by claiming he's a terrible kisser and a sex addict. He seeks to prove her wrong. Dika - and Jacques - are on shaky ground regarding Etienne, who is threatening to sue for defamation of character. He threatens Jacques.
Wednesday 18 March 2009Episode 875 Mangi's addiction spins out of control as he desperately searches for a way to intensify his high. Eddie accuses Dika of sloppy reporting after The Voice is threatened with a serious lawsuit.
Tino's love-hate escapades with Erin start shifting more towards the romantic side. Will Alex make the connection between the new cleaner at NZH and Abigail?
Thursday 19 March 2009Episode 876 Dika discovers Etienne is suing The Voice for millions because of her article. Alex follows up on Keke's suspicions about Mangi and becomes convinced Mangi is lying to him. Mangi's desperate for his next fix, but Mzilikazi is nowhere to be found. Tino and Alex meet Erin and her new boyfriend
Monday 23 March 2009Episode 877 Keke, furious when she discovers Mangi has lied to her, gives him an ultimatum. Dika continues to insist Jacques is solely responsible for the blunder concerning Etienne Le Roux being "The Butcher". Tino and Erin finally make it to bed together. Mangi confesses his drug problem to Daniel and Nadia.
Tuesday 24 March 2009Episode 878 To Tino's frustration, Erin seems happy with their current relationship comprising casual sex. Eddie learns Dika ignored Jacques' research that would have proven Etienne's innocence. Dika won't admit her mistake, and Mo is forced to call for a disciplinary hearing.
Keke is stunned to learn Mangi has lied to Daniel and Nadia about his addiction (he told them it was to tranquilizers). This leads her to reveal the truth to Lentswe, and they stage a private intervention. Mangi promises to take a drug test, to prove he's kicking the habit.
Wednesday 25 March 2009Episode 879 Alex learns McGregory, the cleaner, is really Mzilikazi, a dangerous assassin. Dika tries to assign some of the blame for "The Butcher" piece to Eddie and Jacques, and crusades to have them questioned at the disciplinary hearing, too. She is scared when Etienne corners her and threatens revenge.
Tino struggles with whether or not to reveal his feelings to Erin. When he tries to suggest they take the next step, Erin's reaction is not what he expected.
Thursday 26 March 2009Episode 880 Mangi lies to Keke and Lentswe, telling them he's kicked his heroin habit. Shakira realises otherwise. Erin agonises over asking Tino to fly to Cape Town with her to attend the Diaspora Jazz Festival. When she finally does ask, he turns her down.
Mo suggests to Dika that she write a formal letter of apology to Etienne Le Roux, after printing incorrect info about him in The Voice. The police bust Mangi at NZH and arrest him for possession of narcotics.
Monday 30 March 2009Episode 881 Mangi is released from jail, where he's continued using heroin. This is the last straw for Daniel. Tino is stunned to hear Erin has a fiance. Erin is stunned to hear the man has gone to Scandal with the information.
Dika decides to face the disciplinary on her own. Abigail all but confirms to Daniel she is responsible for Mangi's kidnapping and heroin addiction.
Tuesday 31 March 2009Episode 882 Daniel is on the receiving end of Mangi's withdrawal symptoms. Dika gets a taste of her own medicine when she reads an article about herself. Shakira drops a bombshell on Abigail. When Erin tries to explain her side of the story, Tino refuses to believe her.
