Living The Hiplife (Documentary)

Living The Hip Life is a musical portrait of street life in urban West Africa. It follows the birth of Hiplife music in Accra, Ghana, a mix of various African musical forms and American hip hop.
Archival footage and hip hop music videos are remixed with interviews, concerts, and stories from the daily lives of rap artists.
We follow Reggie Rockstone, the Godfather of Hiplife in the founding of the musical movement, as well as the Mobile Boys a group of aspiring rap artists as they try to make it in the music business.

Soul Sundays is a music chat show featuring soulful, soothing and sometimes sexy music. Each episode features a mix of music videos and a chat between a studio guest and the show's presenter. Two of the music videos are selected by the public who vote via fax, e-mail and SMS.

Many South African legendary artists are dying penniless despite the vital contribution they have made to South Africa, its culture, freedom and heritage.
Since the era of apartheid, artists have been ignored, marginalized, poverty stricken and not professionally treated. Realities Beyond Fame is a two-part documentary series that aims to address the problems that have affected artists for years. Researched over three years, the show also suggests solutions regarding some of the issues.
Artists featured in the documentary include Mbongeni Ngema, Joe Mafela, Sam Williams, Hugh Masekela, Sipho Mabuza, David Phetoe, late Ken Gampu, the late Dolly Rathebe, Stanley Nkosi and Jubu Khanyile.

Back home in Kazmet, a poor district of Sousse, Tunisia, the house painter Kahloucha is in the throes of making his next film: Tarzan of the Arabs.
Using equal measures of madness and magic, Kahloucha draws heavily on the beneficence of the local populace, negotiates social boundaries and strains family ties in his determination to bring light relief to the residents of his poor neighbourhood - and make films.
