A Music RevolutionPremiere date: Tuesday, 1 December 2009 at 21h00
A new 6-part documentary series about the South African dance music genre, Kwaito, which follows the history of the genre and it's influence on music up to the present day.
The series tells the untold story of a South African youth with all its sophisticated dynamics, through music. It profiles Kwaito legends Oskido, Mandla Spikiri, Thebe, Bruce “Dope” Sebitlo, Mjokes and numerous other groups such Trompies, Boom Shaka, Alaska, Chakaroski, Mafikizolo, Bongo Maffin. It also profiles dancers, producers and club DJ’s who were at the forefront of Kwaito and shows how Kwaito shifted from the underground to become mainstream.
The individual experiences of owners of the successful, black-owned production company, Kalawa Jazmee, form part of this collage of stories.
The show is the creation of South African filmmakers Vincent Moloi and Norman Maake, who have joined forces to form Glowstars, a production company that focuses on telling the stories of urban youth culture.
Both Moloi and Maake have worked as directors across genres in the local and international film industry. This is their first film project as co-directors.

Friends Like These returns for an eighth season.
How the show works: every week two teams of best friends, five guys and five girls, take each other on in a series of challenges to win holiday prizes.
To win the holiday, the contestants compete in a series of solo challenges designed to test their strategic and puzzle-solving skills. Each friend can only play one challenge, so they need to know their friends’ strengths and weaknesses.
At the end of the show, the winning team goes through to play the final “Face To Face” game to see if they can secure their individual holiday tickets. All in all it's a test to see how well contestantsknow their friends.

Rebroadcast: LebogangOn: Friday, 25 December 2009 at 13h00
Based on the biblical story of the prodigal son, a rebellious 18 year-old girl named "Lebogang" has a rocky relationship with her widowed father who is a Pastor.
Lebogang eventually decides to cut ties with her family and leaves home in Tlokweng (North West Province - SA) with her rowdy boyfriend. She cashes in her inheritance and heads for Jozi to invest it in her boyfriend's new nightclub.
The nightclub then turns out to be a haven for illegal drugs and is closed down by law enforcement. Having lost all her inheritance and with her boyfriend now in jail on drug related charges, Lebogang is stranded in Joburg with no money and no shelter.
Christmas that year arrives to find Lebogang homeless and destitute. However, her father's prayers back home make it possible that Lebogang sees the light.
This becomes the most definitive Christmas for Lebogang; it changes her outlook on the value of family, God and forgiveness. The lead actors: Salamina Mphelo and Trevor Noah.
