How well do you know South Africa? Are you a hottshot when it comes to your knowledge of the country or is there a lot you don't know?

You'll soon be able to put yourself to the test when the new game show "I Love SA" debuts on e.tv.

The series, which is based on the British format I Love My Country, is currently in production at Sasani Studios in Jozi, the same location that houses Rhythm City and Big Brother.

It follows a two team game show format in which both teams battle-it-out against each other, using their knowledge and experience of South Africa. Each team consists of familiar faces who'll be led a team captain. The team captains remain the same throughout but the two teams change weekly.

Each team will consist of a mix of entertainment celebs, sports stars, musicians, socialites, artists and icons who'll put their South African savvy to the test for all to see. Their team captain will be with them throughout the game and the whole shebang will be adjudicated by the show's host.

Word from e.tv is that the production is still finalising things regards the host and team captains - these will be announced next week. The participants who make up the teams are going to be diverse in age, with contestants ranging from 20-something upwards.

There's also going to be a live studio audience and a house band who'll add to the energy and vibe.

The series premieres on e.tv in mid-May.
