Nominees for the 86th Academy Awards were announced in Tinseltown today. The announcement was made by actor Chris Hemsworth and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs.
The awards take place on Sunday, 2 March 2014 and will be broadcast live (in the early hours of Monday) on the M-Net Movies Premiere channel. A rebroadcast will air on M-Net in the evening of Monday, 3 March.
As you'll see from the line-up of nominees, notably and very disappointingly missing is Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, which received a nod for band U2 for Best Original Song but was overlooked for all other categories, bah!!
