The
performance nominees for the Royalty Soapie Awards have just been announced and voting lines for the Most Popular Soapie of the Year category are about to open. They open on Saturday (2 November) at 08h00.
We were under the impression that the Outstanding Soapie category was the category that viewers would be voting for but it isn't. The Outstanding category only has five nominees and will be decided by the award judges whereas the Most Popular Soapie category includes all South African soapies, with the exception of Rhythm City and Scandal!
As we've reported, e.tv has chosen not to be part of the awards and thus their soapies aren't in the category.
If you'd like to vote for your fave soapie you can do so by SMS'ing the name of your favourite soapie to 33017. SMS's cost R1.50 each. A limit of 20 votes per mobile number per soapie applies. Voters stand in line to win 2 of 10 VIP tickets to watch the live awards show at the Durban Convention Centre.

Voting will close on the night of the show (8 March, 2014) at 21h00. The show will be airing live on SABC1.
