Pearl Thusi will be kicking The Real Goboza to the curb like a crusty, loser beau in early November. Pearl, who replaced Brenda Ngxoli as Phat Joe's co-host last year, has decided to call it splitsville to pursue other projects.
“I absolutely loved my time on RGB," she says. "I've had an incredible journey and everyone at the show has been amazingly supportive with my decision to move on. I am not saying goodbye, just see you soon. I have so many great things going on at the moment that I had to make a tough decision on what to focus on. I feel that I’m leaving a stronger and better show."
Pearl currently plays the role of Palesa on Isidingo and she'll be the only schleb on the
upcoming sixth season of Tropika Island of Treasure - which she's hosting.
Her spot on RGB will be taken over by a double team who'll join Phat Joe in a threesome. Sinazo Yolwa wraps So You Think You Can Dance SA in early November and steps into Pearl's shoes immediately afterwards. She'll be joined Jub Jub's former flame Amanda du-Pont.
Pearl does her final RGB date on Saturday, 9 November and Sinazo and Amanda debut the week after.
