As
reported on TVSA last week,
As The World Turns will no longer be airing on SABC2 and moves online instead -
The Mo'Nique Show takes over the daily timeslot as from tomorrow (Wednesday, 29 February).
Good news for fans is that the online episodes will be streamed in a special South African set-up so that they continue from where they left off on TV. The episodes are being broadcast by
SoapClassics, an American company who broadcast the series on DVD and the internet round the world.
SoapClassics President Mark Yates has this to say about the future of the series: “Different countries are at different points in the story. Although “As the World Turns”has concluded in the US, it still has three years to go in South Africa. Much-loved characters like Carly, Lilly, Jack, Holden and Luke will live on for South African viewers, and there are still plenty of fun plots twists and cliffhangers to come.”
“One of the great things about streaming the show on the internet is that people can watch the show whenever it’s convenient. We’ll be releasing five new episodes every Monday, and fans will be able to watch the episodes anytime, at their own pace, all week.”
The internet broadcast started today (Tuesday, February 28). You can catch the episodes by registering at
