Since the end of
SA's Got Talent 2 we've received numerous requests from readers about when the series will be back for Season 3.
We've been investigating and today we can confirm that there won't be a season this year unfortunately.
It seems that the reason is that Cadbury's has no talent. Word from an industry insider is that SABC2 and Cadbury's had meetings about the sponsorship of another season and they weren't able to reach an agreement so the 2011 season has been shelved.
Apparently the costs involved in making the show are very high so a sponsor really needs to come to the party for it. As for whether or not it'll ever return, we suppose it depends on how many Lunch Bars Cadbury's sells between then and now.
The result is that
I Want To Sing Gospel 2 will be SABC2's headline reality show for the year. We'll keep you posted on future developments should SA's Got Talent return next year.
