Eminem fast facts
- His official birth name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III.
- He was born in 1972.
- He was discovered by Dr Dre after winning runner up place in the 1997 Rap Olympics.
- His first album was called Infinite and was released in 1996, on an independent label.
- He started his own record label Shady Records in 2000.
- He played a cameo role in the 2001 rapper movie The Wash and made his official acting debut in 2002 in 8 Mile where he played the lead Jimmy "B-Rabbit" Smith.
