Burn Notice

Most people would be thrilled to be on the warm, beautiful sands of South Beach however, Michael Westen (played by Jeffrey Donovan) is not most people. He's got a pesky FBI tail following him, a violence-prone ex-girlfriend looking for closure and a hypochondriac mother calling him 30 times a day. Yet these are the least of his problems…

After 10 years of serving his country, working in Eastern Europe and the OPEC countries as a covert operative, Michael is living every spy's worst nightmare. While in the middle of a dangerous mission in Nigeria, Michael's contact informs him that he has been burned aka the intelligence agency has dismissed him, claiming he's unreliable and not to be trusted

The consequences for him: his life is jeopardized, his bank accounts are frozen and he's been dumped in Miami, flagged on every government list known to man. They can't take away his skills or what's in his head so they take away his assets and his resources to make sure he can never work again.

Now Michael has a new and different mission: he must find out who issued his burn notice and why he was blacklisted so that he can put his life back together.

In order to survive in Miami and fund his own personal investigation, Michael enlists the help of the only two "friends" he has: Fiona Glenanne (played by Gabrielle Anwar), an ex-IRA operative - who also happens to be an ex-girlfriend - and Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell), a washed-up military intelligence contact whom the Feds have keeping an eye on Michael.

Women’s Murder Club is about four successful working women in San Francisco: Homicide Inspector Lindsay Boxer (Angie Harmon), Medical Examiner Claire Washburn (Paula Newsome), Assistant District Attorney Jill Bernhardt (Laura Harris) and crime reporter Cindy Thomas (Aubrey Dollar) – who use their expertise, their close friendship and their instincts to solve murder cases.

Each a success in her own field, they work together to uncover clues to the city’s most grisly homicides.

Dirty Sexy Money
Premiere date: Thursday 18 September at 20h30

The wealthy Darlings family of New York City are always mixed up with the wrong people; freeloading spouses, illegal immigrants and transvestite prostitutes. It will take a miracle to keep them out of the tabloids - and out of jail. That miracle comes in the form of Nick George (played by Six Feet Under's Peter Krause).

As a boy, Nick watched his father surrender his freedom and family as the Darling's trusted advisor but the passing of his dad thrusts the responsibility of protecting the Darlings' secrets onto Nick.

With new disasters constantly happening, Nick needs the stamina for a marathon and he discovers all too soon that his new position requires him to be an all-around problem fixer, hand-holder, therapist and public relations expert.

The cast also includes Donald Sutherland, Jill Clayburgh, William Baldwin, Natalie Zea, Blair Underwood and Victoria Pratt.

Miss Guided

Miss Guided is a sitcom about Becky Freeley (played Judy Greer) who returns to her alma mater as a guidance counsellor after having finally conquered the awkward, traumatic world of high school.

With her orthodontic nightmare and teenage insecurities a distant memory, Becky deftly navigates the uncertainties of troubled students and an often troubling faculty. She is certain of one thing: her desperate attraction to hot mechanic-turned-Spanish-teacher, Tim O’ Malley (played by Kristoffer Polaha).

Now that Becky might finally get the upper hand in life and love, she is shocked to discover that the newly-hired English teacher is none other than her high school nemesis, Lisa Germain (played by Brooke Burns). Lisa is a smart, stunning beauty and, suddenly, Becky is forced to relive her past and compete for Tim’s affection.

Stand up to Cancer
On: Saturday 6 September at 20:00

Stars from film, television, sports and music will come together to raise funds for global cancer research. Various cancer screening tests will be demonstrated in entertaining ways during the special, which will feature live performances by recording artists and stars from film and television.

The performers and complete line-up is yet to be confirmed.

Enrique Iglesias live at The Odyssey Arena
On: Wednesday 17 September at 20:30

Recorded at the end of 2007 and released in January 2008, this concert features Enrique performing at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Songs in the line-up include: Tired of Being Sorry and Do You Know from the album Insomniac, and classics like Be With You, Bailamos, and Hero.

60th Primetime Emmy Awards
On: Monday 22 September at 20h30

The 2008 Emmy's once more honours actors, actresses and shows that have excelled in various categories throughout the year.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Nokia Theatre Los Angeles. The presenter is yet to be announced.
