Partners is based on the real life experiences of Kohan and Mutchnick, who have known each other since they were 14 and worked together professionally since college.
The series scenario: the friendship between architects Joe and Louis has lasted longer than either of their own romantic relationships and almost seems like a marriage itself. It's a comedy about four people who find themselves involved in three relationships.
