Timbaland

Tonight Live profiles one of the hottest international music producers. Timbaland is an American record producer, composer, rapper, and singer.

Primarily known for his work in urban pop, he's produced albums and singles for a number of artists from the mid-1990s to the present day.

In 2006 he collaborated with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake which resulted in multi-million selling albums and singles for both artists. In 2007 he released the album Shock Value, a commercial success, while 2008 saw him help produce Madonna's new album, Hard Candy.

Nas Exclusive In SA

The show also catches up with Nasir Jones better known as Nas for an exclusive at OR Tambo this week. As he walks off the plane Live will sit down with him to get the lowdown on his latest album and what it means to be in Africa for the very first time.

Nas will not be performing while visiting Africa and not many know the reason for his visit. Live will reveal all tonight.

Anyway, talk about a sneak peak, surely this is not even half of what will be on live, or atleast I hope not. Hai, and here i was planning on staying in...hai, change of plans clearly required!

Forget the lip synching, what was up with the song being a chorus from start to finish? NO verse, just a chorus with us not getting to hear the "singer's' voice at all. That was such a hott perfomance she gave but I can't say much for her singing. SHe was more someone featuring in the guy's song. why was she even in the front?

Mmmmm she looks great for a new mom though....damn!

But ke bantu bakithi tell me what you'lll thought of Mshoza's perfomance. mina kinda liked it my frend here is saying she was trying to be Kelly " Sikalekhekhe" Khumalo and i beg to differ cause i thought she then reminded me of the Late Diva Lebo " Drama Queen Madiboseng" Mathosa, somehow i felt that at least we are now going to get an entertainer who is not trying to be someone as you'll know that Mama mshoza has been around for quite sometime and all this time she has been doing it for herself even when the Queen of Entertainment was still alive you... but she was living in the shadow of the Queen's shadow and what Mshoza has been going through is what the Americans are going through with Beyonce Knowles.... she is currently reigning even though there are some other good people who can sing and Dance but then Bee is just reigning. that's what Lebo Mathosa was doing......

Mshoza is going to get the light she has been waiting for a long time but then yet again i think she must work on her vocal abilities as she is not that powerfull in that department, Kelly is good in that department i think they must colloborate and make a very team Mshoza Dances and KK Sings what you think?????

It took less than a month and yes Miss Brown Live has become a hip-hop show 100%.

Someone tell me whats wrong with JR's video, gatalena. for a hot track like that the video looks cheap.

and the Nas clip, was it shot with a cellphone?

I have NO interest in LIVE & y'all know I will say it if they are doing something wrong but the above statement is 100% false shem.
Just because Touch is "presenting", the show has now become strictly hip hop? How so??

We should really be commenting on how GREAT Friday's episode was, how relaxed/confident he has become in front of the camera, not complain about something he has NO control over.
Yes, he got them the NAS exclusive but he doesn't decide the rest of the line up.

LIVE will always give us the hottest tracks in the country and let's be honest, there is no HOTT RnB, Afro Pop, Kwaito song rocking at the moment, it's mostly Hip Hop songs that are blazing the airwaves. Besides, Mshoza is NOT a hip hop artist & she perfomed in studio on Friday. Jaziel Brothers were featured/interviewed, they are not hip hop artists, Last week they had Kwela Tebza and Maxhoba in studio and neither of them sing hip hop. They also had Big Nuz in studio a few weekes ago.. That's Kwaito.

The truth is that NO SHOW ever appeals to 100% of the audience 100% of the time. According to my standards, LIVE is getting better each week and this is just from my observations of the past 4 weeks.

Sorry for the long ass reply, I just think we should give props where props are due.

I would love it if it went 200% hip hop, atleast I can watch some creative videos and listen to thinking artists..........tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired of 2 ass lines.................

Mshoza's performance was nje...was waiting to hear her voice but it was buried by her backup singers forever singing that chorus, the only thing she was doing actually was dancing and holding the mike..(for someone who's just given birth, her body sure looks good shem)...got the shock of my life and LMAO when that tokoloshe/person/man suddenly appeard, jumping all over the place like a looney he he he
Timbaland looks just like this other playboy guy i know...Mndeni, if you live in CT i'm sure you know who i'm talking bout

Hey everybody...NAS did perform at the Heineken- Durban July after party, he was fab, i have photos as proof...Bad Boy T was the MC, and the show was off the hook...

what is hapenn in our music industry,nothing is never original, they just cut and paste from international songs, and end up getting the credit for it, wher is the originality
