Fri 1 June
Episode 2091
Rajesh finds an email that Barker sent to Cherel after she disappeared, warning that he will find her and kill her. Nikki and Natasha agree to go out but when Phil phones, Nikki changes her mind. Letti, Agnes and Nandipha are helping the kids learn their lines for the school play and in the process they find one another again.
Mon 4 June
Episode 2092
Rajesh asks Lolly to discover from Farrow if the Bornman children have any idea where Cherel is. Calvin finds himself caught between wanting to appease Nikki and wanting to help her. The Matabane family gather to witness baby Neo’s first public performance and are brought together by the experience.
Tues 5 June
Episode 2093
Len is scathing of Maggie’s language learning capacity and Lolly commits herself to learning IsiZulu with her. Harriet worries that Lee’s obsession with everything to do with Cherel is growing pathologically worse. Frank tells Nikki that Calvin told him about the threatening calls she’s been receiving from Phil.
Wed 6 June
Episode 2094
Len and Farrow are making love when Anton returns unexpectedly early from theatre and discovers that his leg is missing. Rajesh and Lee remain at daggers drawn over the sale of Total Fight Club to AfriCast. Calvin fears, mistakenly, that Nikki hates him for having told her secret to his father.
Thurs 7 June
Episode 2095
Len Cooper and a bottle of tequila spend some time at Tanya’s graveside. Calvin realizes he is attracted to Lolly, and asks his father’s advice about taking girls out for crayfish. The papers are full of stories claiming that ON!TV has made a bad error in judgment by selling fight club to AfriCast.
Fri 8 June
Episode 2096
Len is puzzled by the mysterious fresh flowers and card he found at Tanya’s grave, and embarks on an investigation. Lolly is baffled as to how is she meant to speak IsiZulu if no IsiZulu speaker speaks proper IsiZulu back to her. Calvin worries about where they’ll find kreef and Nikki assures him they will make a plan.
Mon 11 June
Episode 2097
Rajesh realizes that the note from Tanya’s grave is not in Cherel’s handwriting and decides to track down the florist who supplied the flowers. Nikki is only able to afford one crayfish and Calvin has to make a plan around the potjie. Lolly and Maggie continue their IsiZulu lessons and Len finds a Fanakalo tutor.
Tues 12 June
Episode 2098
Lee is horrified when she reads a card for the flowers she assumed were from Alec - the phantom flower sender has struck again. Frank’s interference in his son’s romantic adventures continues to cause complications. The denizens of Horizon Deep become much exercised by questions of language and culture.
Wed 13 June
Episode 2099
Two dangerous criminals pay Anton a visit in hospital and threaten to inject his drip with poison if he doesn’t tell them where Cherel is. Calvin pursues his grail but ends up having to sleep on the sofa. Multiculturalism is dealt a grave blow when the tape recorder eats the IsiZulu tape.
Thurs 14 June
Episode 2100
Farrow, misguided by previous events, confronts Lee, accusing her of having engineered her brother’s attempted murder. Frank confesses to Calvin that he was unduly worried about his affair because of an incident in his youth when an older woman broke his heart.
Fri 15 June
Episode 2101
Len and Farrow speculate about who tried to kill Anton but apart from suspicions regarding Lee or Barker, they can’t point a finger. Siyanda gets a call from her father, telling her that her brother, Nqobile, or Q, is in trouble in Bulgaria. Attempts at multiculturalism cause disharmony in the commune.
Mon 18 June
Episode 2102
Stella, overhearing Siyanda speak of Nqobile’s trouble being woman related, infers terrible crimes on Nqobile’s part. Farrow tells Len that Anton tried to commit suicide as a direct result of their meeting. Maggie believes that her and Lolly’s IsiZulu lessons could convert to a TV programme.
Tues 19 June
Episode 2103
Barker notes that an ‘undercover operative’ has taken down an international drug smuggling network, and is wondering if it might be Alec. Barker can get Siyanda’s brother, Q, out of Eastern Europe, and is eager to leverage the favour. Frank is open to the idea of doing a little language insert, if Nandipha and Letti can find a producer.
Wed 20 June
Episode 2104
Anton plays a very dangerous game with Len Cooper and Alec discovers that Lee is living with fear. Barker proves that when it suits him, he can go a long way to help a friend. Natasha pitches an interesting concept to Frank. Maggie raises the issue of taking in Siyanda’s brother as a lodger.
Thurs 21 June
Episode 2105
Anton, in physical and mental anguish, is increasingly desperate. Lolly goes to the extreme in her attempts to protect Farrow. Natasha gets an unlikely language expert involved in the “lingo” show. Siyanda’s brother’s imminent arrival sparks all kinds of debates.
Fri 22 June
Episode 2106
Anton learns that sometimes the unvarnished truth gives you the greatest manipulative leverage. Horizon Deep await the imminent arrival of the enigmatic Nqobile Mazibuko . Slu takes his responsibilities as George’s agent extremely seriously and Natasha finds herself on the back foot.
Mon 25 June
Episode 2107
Letti and Nandipha tell Natasha that they know how to handle Mr. Zamdela’s agent. Farrow goes to see Anton, who asks her to help him die. Rajesh tells Alec about Cherel’s desire to kill Lee in front of Barker’s eyes. Nqobile, distracted by a girl he met on the plane, doesn’t make his appointment with Barker Haines.
Tues 26 June
Episode 2108
Mr. Zamdela discards his Limo requirements and goes with royalties and merchandising instead. Lolly tells Farrow she wanted her to know the rape story because Len is dangerous to her in her present state of mind. Siyanda takes Q to The Deep where he proceeds to add to his charm-victim list.
Wed 27 June
Episode 2109
Farrow hears from Anton’s doctor that the damage to the liver is irreparable, and that Anton, in all likelihood, as an attempted suicide, won’t receive a donor liver. Stella rolls over on her back so that Nqobile can tickle her stomach. George Zamdela signs the contract for the Lingo programme.
Thurs 28 June
Episode 2110
Rehearsals for “Lingo” are going so badly that members of the team start swearing at each other in their own dialects. The inmates at Buller’s are astonished when Stella appears to pick up her date for the evening. Farrow, at her brother’s bedside, apostrophizes him and appears to be ready to contemplate euthanasia.
Fri 29 June
Episode 2111
Farrow Bornman does the only thing that she can do to ease her brother’s suffering. Alec tries to find the source of the flowers sent by Cherel, but the result is the Lee uncovers his machinations. Nqobile Mazibuko continues to leave a trail of debt and destruction in his wake.
