IDOLS 4: Top 6

Man! Who's going to leave this week? I really don't know!

I had really mixed feelings about the performances. While they were good, I was back to not being blown away by most of the performances.

I am STILL waiting for a goosebump moment from ANYONE!

Munro came pretty close with his cover of Nickleback's How You Remind Me but it wasn't spot on. I loved it, don't get me wrong, I loved the raw emotion and his own unique style, but there was something missing.

top 6 - munro

His first performance didn't blow me away either.

I don't know if the judge's foul mood had rubbed off on me, but everyone's performance could have been way better.

Jody was too soft. What happened to her dynamic, in-your-face voice? Have they restrained her from belting out those notes or does she just need more training (and like Randall said, years)

jodi

Bjorn. HA, I loved it when Mara asked him "who told you that you've already won?"
Some people think it's confidence, I also think it's arrogance. His "Beautiful Girls" might have wowed the crowd but I'm a huge fan of the song and I did not think he did it justice. And ditto for.. errr " Is There Any Justice" My answer, NONE.

Tender's first song was a bit squeaky . Maybe it's because I can't stand that song, but I did not like her performance much. She did much better on song number 2. Beyonce can be difficult to pull off but she did a sterling job of "Irreplaceable"
She remains my favourite, and I've voted a number of times already!

top 6 - Tender

Daniel's first song was AWESOME! His voice has the right timbre for "Waiting for the world to change" I loved it, loved, loved it! Then he messed it up with that second song... WHY DANIEL????
I think he'll be forgiven though. he has enough female fans to keep him in the running.

top 6 - daniel

Andriette. While she looked stunning during her first song, that performance was very weak. her second song was just marginally better, but still not wowing me like she did before.

top 6 andriette

I'm seriously thinking I need some of Colin's Tea (floating stuff and all ;) )

Or maybe I just need some of Colin. YUMMY YUMMY COLIN. Looking very suave all in black! Is it me or is he more relaxed this year. I just wish he would take more digs at Gareff Cliff - the Randall hatred is fine, but can't you spread it around abit????

On a final note (hee), I have to mention Johan Laas. I always forget to give him and his band credit and last night he did a sterling job on that piano solo.

And that is that folks. Don't let your favourite get booted out because you didn't vote....

Who will stay and who will go????
I think this week Bjorn will go. What do you think?

Again, I totally agree with you!!!

I think it's between Bjorn and Daniel to go this week. Daniel was terrible in that 2nd song.

You know, I think Andriette has got other plans in mind. She doesn't want this at all! She is just not performing?? I still believe she's got the best voice out of all of them, but she is not willing to make the commitment.

My vote is also going to Tender!!!

Oh, something else.  This is what i would like to hear the top 5 sing -

Jody  -  The Power of Love (to see if she can)
Tender  -  Never Never Never  (if she is good she could sing it!)
Daniel  -  My Girl  (I think he can pull it off)
Andriette  -  Black Velvet  (YUP!!)
Munro  -  Have you ever seen the rain  (Can he?)

@Kanamags1, clearly ur not well informed on the HIV/AIDS. And I definetly disagree with because she can be great role model for young people to be responsible as she said herself she was very irresponsible!!

You seem to be the ignorant one. Not only that, but you seem to be prejudiced as well.
Your posts will be deleted because they add no value here.
GOODBYE!

idols is not about who makes it or doesnt make it afterwards. idols is about who is declared the winner on the final show....   thereafter some choose to pursue the fame, others dont....  simple

My opinion, and this is one from my heart, is that if you enter that competition you should have one goal and that is to become a star.  you are competing against thousands of people who have that goal, and not persuing the fame after you are declared the winner, is not fair on the fans who have put you there, those who buy you "first and only" cd, and definately not to the rest of the contestants.  i dont know, maybe all these other forumers are right, maybe i am ignorant, and prejudiced, but when you go into that you must go in for the long haul!  you must be prepared to put heart and soul into it, and be prepared for hard work for many many years.  I'm sorry guys!  look what happens when you dont?  where is Anke?  Where is Karin?  if they can so very easily forget thier hopes and dreams (which they must have had when entering idols) then they were not worthy winners.  thier fans put them on top, they OWED it to them to persevere!  i frankly dont care who wins, although i have my favourite, but even her - I hope she doesn't dissapoint the public after (and if) she wins!

And damning someone just becuase they have HIV is very unfair and extremely prejudiced.
People with HIV go on to live long and meaningful lives.
Why don't we just light a bonfire and throw all the folks with HIV into it. While we're at it, lets throw in all the cancer sufferers as well. What use are they to us right?

If you cant see the determination and drive in Tender then you must be blind.
(not sure if blind people go into the bonfire or not... will go back and check on my list of suitable qualities and get back to you!)

@ amazingly you are just so defensive aren't you?  i didn't damn anybody, maybe you should read what i said properly before you cast stones.  i also never disputed the fact that people with HIV go ont to live "long and meaningful lives".  You need to chill bru, you far too tense.  time will tell - i'm sure you'll buy all the little aids sufferers cds, help her live a long and meaningful life on the royalties!

Ignoramus - she has HIV not Aids
This is getting tiresome and boring. Please argue your case with facts and sense.

What a comeback!  Well done.

Just for the record, she has (amazingly) been one of my favourites since the top 100.  i just dont think that what she is doing is right - she is going about winning this (and she will win i gurantee it) the wrong way.  but then i suppose alls fair in love and war, win the game whatever it takes.  and besides, all i was doing was giving my opinion, which was supposed to be allowed in this country of ours.  maybe Tender should sing "Times they are a'changin".  In more ways than one it seems!

I'm just happy Bjorn is gone Damn he was loud. What happens from now on doesn't really in the very least.
